I love my Tiger. It is the only luxury watch I own (but this channel is fixing to change that). I am the original owner of the one I have, I purchased it in April of 1998. I was waiting for my AD to get their first shipment. I will never sell it. It will go to my oldest son when it’s time.

Very nice review of a gorgeous timepiece. I love my 1997 Tudor Tiger Prince Date chronograph with a stainless steel band/bezel, white subdial, silver face. I know there were many different color variations, but i find the silver/stainless steel with white subdial to be the best looking. Still have the box!

Excellent video as always ! I recently bought one myself ! I have a question though. On the case there seem to be 2 possible positions for the strap to be fixed. I took out the bracelet and replaced it with a nice leather strap but positioned in on the rear (closer to the case position) which can be seen at your video if you go to 16.50. The things is that I cannot remove the bracelet anymore because the original tudor bracelet bars are completely inside the holes in the case and so I will have to bring it to a professional and actually cut the bars. It seems nicer to position the bracelet closer to the case, this way there is not this big gap between the two. However if you do this with with the original bars as I did you will regret it since you can no longer remove them. One solution would be to purchase those custom bracelets end links but I personally do not find this solution very classy. My question is : is there any kind of bracelet bars that allow you to fix a bracelet in the upper closer to the case position and that are removable at the same time easily with a simple tool? Thanks in advance!!

Wow, I came across the intro in one of the "Best of..." videos and was blown away by the Porsche 911R footage. Great choice of a super-sporty car for a sporty watch. The 911R - being a rather mechanical machine compared to today´s standards - is also a good match for a mechanical watch.

This would go with my Tag Heuer Tiger very nicely. Adding this to the buy list for sure

That carbon fiber pattern strap works great with the Tudor, but red stitching would make it work even better.

Hi TGV, I love the intro featuring the juxtaposition of the Porsche 911 with the Tudor Tiger Prince ad Rolex Daytona Cosmograph. Always loved the classic look of the Porsche 911. Tudor looks a though it has been prepared to be more playful with offering various and colourful options to the Tiger Prince Chronograph's design over the years of the model's long run. Rolex's strength has always been in offering traditional pieces with the Daytona's timeless design. The numerous models of the Daytona are more elegant and could be worn with casual attire, evening wear or a suit. Whether the Tudor Tiger Prince chronograph you have reviewed is one of a few from Tudor that could be paired with casual or business attire. I agree the silver dial is beautiful with its sunburst effect and provides stunning contrast with the black sub-dials. It will be very interesting to see where Tudor will go over the next few years with their designs. It is great to see them stepping out of the shadow of its big brother Rolex.

In my watch collection I have a lovely pre- Tiger 79280P Tudor Prince Chrono with the starburst Blue face , I have it on the Tudor " Jubilee " style bracelet but also have the blue leather deployment buckle strap, interesting how you mentioned the twin bracelet/strap mounting holes as I was led to believe that one pair of holes were for mounting the strap and the other pair, having to be in a slightly different position , were for the mounting of the bracelet.

Glad to see you reviewing this one. As you know I have a Tudor Black Bay and I just love it. So I've been considering a Tudor Chrono. Was looking at the Heritage Chrono line (the blue accented one) but your model is really making me reconsider. I LOVE that silver sunray dial with the black sub dials. Another Daytona alternative is the Omega 3559.32 Speedmaster Legend. I love that one. This Tiger however is an absolute stunner.

I have a different version of this watch which I don't often see around. Its not a big block but its named Oysterdate and not Prince Date. Also, its comes with the Rolex crown and case back. Do you know anything about this model?

It's worth mentioning that the second set of holes on the lugs is there for the watches that are sold with a leather band. Basically they are required to keep in place the specific solid end links that come with the leather strap. In that setup you get 2 spring bars per side. One for the strap and one for the end link.

I took the marathon navigator review to heart and took it out of inventory, spiffed it up here and there, wearing it rather than storing it away.
