This is a compilation of most of Top Hats scenes from the TV series, TUGS. This video is made to keep TUGS and it’s amazing characters alive and important. Footage of all 13 episodes of TUGS are from UnknownThomasFan01 and TheStarSwitcher which helped me make these “Best of” compilations.

“He what?” Said top hat “He got himself stuck in a ditch trying to avoid taking a goods train” explained James. Gordon then came steaming in. “I did nothing of the sort, it was the turn tables fault not mine.” This was no use however as the other three couldn’t help but laugh.

@@joshuaW5621 I personally think that Top Hat is most similar to Gordon. James is emotional, compassionate, and fiery. He often tries to fit in with anyone he can, and tries to put on a big show like Gordon, but for different reasons. He's very insecure, and often acts high and mighty in a desperate attempt to gain attention. James does have a soft side, though. When he's not trying everything he knows to be the center of attention, James is actually a pretty cool, fun-loving guy, and likes spending time with the smaller engines. Spencer has changed a lot since his first appearances. He was quite snooty, arrogant and rude, sometimes growing angry and vengeful if he felt ignored. However, he did change significantly, learning to be humble and to appreciate anyone regardless of status or strength. Spencer also learned that all he really needed wasn't praise and constant attention, it was simply a family, and he seems to have found that on Sodor. While he does struggle with nasty thoughts sometimes, Spencer really does try to do right by his new friends. Henry is grumpy, hot-tempered, standoffish, sensible, and cynical. He's often the guy to be the voice of reason if none of the older engines are around, and while he is intelligent and logical, Henry is chronically sick of everyone's nonsense. Relatable, honestly. Despite his grumpy exterior, Henry is still a pretty chill guy. He's just a sweet, grumpy, introverted old man who sometimes gets angry when overstimulated. Gordon is pompous, selfless, courageous, and proud. He puts on a big grand show of pompadour, but is extremely caring, and truly values the other engines as much as he does himself.

Always loved the destroyer scene in Regatta. Also, when his monocle falls off in Munitions, it's a well timed goof given he's shocked at what Warrior says 😂🧐 Bridge scene collapse scene in High Tide is one of the best scenes in the series.

Nothing in Tugs made me laugh harder than when Top Hat says “I suspect he has several” when Captain Zero says he has a scheme to stop the barges from getting stolen. 😭🤣

Yep, I was thinking the same thing. Basically, all the Star Tugs have a Sodor counterpart. Sir Topham Hatt/Capt. Star. Thomas/Ten Cents. Percy/Sunshine. James/Top Hat. Gordon/Big Mac. Henry/Warrior. Edward/Hercules. Toby/OJ. ???/Capt. Zero. Diesel/Zorran. Arry and Bert/Zak and Zebedee. Bill and Ben/Zip and Zug.

@@joeleboeuf Actally Gordon/Top Hat. According to Cinders and Ashes UK, Top Hat is more like Gordon than James.

And @jamiebullock2023, If u pay attention to the show. Top Hat acts more like Gordon than James. So actually Top Hat is like Gordon the Big Engine. Both are arrogant and boastful and on top of that, Both Top Hat and Gordon are numbered "4". So think again.

@@RailwayTugboatStudios I don't go by the numbers, I go by their personalities. Besides, James isn't designed for heavy goods. Gordon and Big Mac are. Besides, Top Hat likes to take pride in his appearance, just like James.
