This match was like a fight between two Tully Blanchards. He and Gino Hernandez were equally matched and worked well as a tag team.

Tully Blanchard can you part of Southwest championship wrestling when he turned on Gino Hernandez they were the original dynamic duo . Tully came to NWA wrestling or established winning the television title in the United States title as well this was before he became a Horseman Tully Blanchard is a Wrestling Hall of Famer who should get the credit did he deserve !

If Gino was still alive he would be worlds champion. I loved watching Gino and Tully as a team

It would have been very interesting to see Gino Hernandez and Tully Blanchard leading the Four Horsemen and not Ric Flair and Arn Anderson.

How come McMahon only wanted Tully Blanchard with Arn Anderson as the Brain Busters?

You mean why didn't Vince hire Tully sooner? This is what I think happened and I could be wrong. Back in 1983, Vince wanted to go national. To do that he did 3 things: 1) Bought a territory. 2) Took over a territory tv time slot. 3) Stole a territory's top guy(s). Tully was undoubtedly the face of SWCW - it was his father's company - but by the end of 1983, that territory was pretty much done. SWCW had lost its tv slot - Vince got it. Tully left SWCW and Joe Blanchard would eventually sell SWCW. Tully went to work for Bob Geigel for a bit, then ended up in Jim Crockett Promotions. He established himself as the top heel. I think he was an even bigger heel than Flair. Anyway, if SWCW had been thriving, Vince probably would have been interested in hiring Tully just like he was interested in hiring the Von Erichs when WCCW was thriving. Also, Vince not hiring Tully sooner also had to do with timing. Tully was doing great with Crockett at first and had no desire to leave. It wasn't until 1988 when Tully and Arn, dissatisfied with how they were being treated, sent word to Vince that they were interested in jumping ship. Vince jumped at the chance to hire two of the original Four Horsemen. He was getting a great tag team plus it would hurt the competition. Sorry for the long-winded response. I hope that explains why Vince hired Tully Blanchard when he was teaming with Arn Anderson.
