Flair and black jack were partners then enemies back and forth for years but paul Jones and black jack had some of the most brutal bloody matches of all time

I don't know if Sullivan was playing a skit or he was for real with the cult but he was convincing with it

I'm still waiting to see an episode when Tony Atlas wore a mask and was billed as "Black Atlas". He refers to the era in his book with some pretty funny stories but, after scouring the web, I have yet to find an episode with any footage.

A chance to see Paul Jones, the promoter rather than Paul Jones the mediocre wrestler and 3rd rate manager at 34:00.

I was too young to remember when Danville Va would have Wrestling matches at it,s auditorium and wrestlers like Paul Jones Johnny Weaver, and others from the 70,s came to town and a guy i used to work with said He went to a card they had one night, and after it was over , he said he saw Paul Jones, Weaver and all the other wrestlers that were on the card that night got in to 2 big station wagons and left together , he said he saw them when they were getting IN the cars . He said the way they were acting in the ring you would think they hated each other but they were laughing and carrying on, Went on to the next town i guess,

Interesting in Chicago they never talk about (or almost never talk about) the Hawks in the finals in '62 and '65 they talk about winning the Cup in '61 and losing in '71 and '73 I guess people would rather forget those games thanks for posting

Gordon Solie is the only announcer I'd ever heard who thanked the production crew by name, for years, during broadcasts. Thank you for this slice of wrestling history. So very enjoyable.

Mid-Atlantic is the first and best wrestling promotion I was turned on to. In 1966 my family moved from the country into the town of Ironton, Ohio. I was able to pick up 3 channels instead of 2 we were used to. Henceforth....my discovery of wrestling at the tender age of 5 and a half. Such great memories of Mid-Atlantic Wrestling. The Infernos with JC Dykes, the Anderson Brothers, Weaver and Becker. Wrestling in Mid-Atlantic followed me through the Horseman days and Dusty Rhodes til the unfortunate end in 2001.!

The original First Family was founded by Jimmy Hart in the late 1970s to take the CWA title from his former protege, Jerry "The King" Lawler. The group extensively feuded with Lawler into the 1980s, a time particularity remembered for comedian Andy Kaufman's rivalry with Lawler.
