Remember going there one time in the 50's with my father and uncles when I was a youngster. Yes, with what I remember of it, it was a very rowdy place to go.

Ah the Fair grounds we have many here in Connecticut and my neighbor use to show his cattle and he later became one of the animal judges until he passed at 95 years young. The drone footage just seems to get better and better Ken. Thanks for sharing the History!

Cool history Ken. We have something like that here in Minnesota called "The Little Log House Antique Power Show" held at a place called Pioneer Village in Hastings Minnesota. It will be it's 32nd year in July 2023. Some of the antique tractors are two stories tall! The grounds for the Tunbridge World's Fair are nicely kept and a nice set-up too. I'm glad they turned it into a family event. That's what our power show is like. No animals though, just machines and a working wood mill with old machines running it. They have military exhibits too during the Power Show with antique equipment and some people dressed in uniforms of different eras. I saw your truck. I didn't know about Fred Tuttle but now I do. Pretty evergreen covered hills there too. I like the covered bridge. Thanks for this Ken!

Holy Cow you are far from home today. Tunbridge is the center of you can't get there from here. Was never allowed to go to the Tunbridge World's Fair as a youngin, lol, but finally made it when I was dating a Howe descendant a few years back. His dairy farm is ironically the most photographed dairy farm in VT, from Rt. 2 in East Cabot across Molly"s Pond. Nosey Parker and Man with a Plan were brilliant films. Both films were mostly casted by locals. It's possible George Lyford was more of a "character" than Fred.

Interesting Google on Mr. Tuttle. He was called the “distilled essence of Vermonthood”. There’s a moniker worth aiming for! Lol.

My father, Reeve Rogers, was also in Nosy Parker. He played himself - one of the listers. The fair was fine during the daytime when I was a kid. We always had horses and sometimes other animals there. Eventually " the girly show" was discontinued, and rules about drinking changed. It became what it started as ( in a different location). An agricultural fair. The end of the harvest season when people got together.

Yes indeed the tunbridge fair have ben there plenty of times . My parents would go there in the camper in the 80s. U should check out the sandwich fair in nh sometime it remind me of this fair .
