Tundra 600 ACE LT Breaking Trail After Snow Storm and 118 kph Winds, Scenic Winter Wonder Land

After having a strange winter so far for the Island of Newfoundland, we got it with Snow Squalls and 118 kph winds. Once it passed, it was time to play in the hills, aka Tundra Time. The Tundra breaks a wonderful trail as it can carve into the sidehills with ease giving you a perfectly flat trail to follow. With milds we had early this winter I took to the snowshoes to make sure I'd have safe travel in places.

Magnificent !!! That's my kind of snowmobiling. Untouched snow , making the first track. When the evergreens are completely dressed with a heavy blanket of snow it is absolutely breath taking. Thanks for the ride.

I went for a 40 km. run yesterday with no one ahead of me. I saw plenty of fresh tracks including a coyote which popped out in front of & hightailed it. I find it peaceful & a sense of freedom for some reason. Thanks for sharing.

Great video! My favorite time on the snowmobile was early in the morning with the frost glistening off the snow and late in the evening when the sun was setting. Hoping to get back to province within the next few years to have those experiences again.

yes, that would be a normal winter for us, but next winter I will be making sure we can clear the gronny insuring snow has a path straight to ground so we don't need to wait for lots of snow to clear the gronny.

Awesome footage Charlie! I am liking what you are saying about the Tundra. I am sort of in the market for a good sled for all the things that you do and more. Tip, when you mount the GoPro on your helmet check the view angle with the app on your phone and you will dial it in and not be worried about spoiled footage again. I can spend a lifetime doing this very thing Charlie.

So bloody beautiful, so jealous man! Im 60 now and my days of climbing the mountains out here in Bc are over. Just got a 2024 tundra but do far no snnow, and we sure don’t have that glorious rifing you have. Can I come across the country and ride there for a week or 2?

Yes we have some wonderful riding here but winter is having a hard time getting started again this year. This is the 3rd year in a roll for a very slow start.

Newfoundland is such a beautiful and rugged part of the country. I really enjoy my moose hunting trips to the NP. I've been thinking about getting a similar machine. My local dealer has the Tundra with the shorter track. Do you have any experience with the shorter track for cutting trails?

Years ago that's all we had but they can't handle the snow like a long track. If you want to be going off the beaten path, long track is the way to go.

Yes, hiking into a remote lake, pond, river, etc... and finding others garbage, just spoils that solitude feeling you were wishing to experience. But you do feel better leaving better than you found it, so there's still a win to be had there I guess.
