be careful with those loud pops if you go on the parkway, one time a rider was next to a car and the pop spooked the driver and caused her to quickly change lanes and the other rider in the group hit her in the back and went flying. He was going so fast his head popped off in the helmet and is riding his bike through the gates of heaven.

A good tuner can tune those pops out. To start with he should have disabled the AIS system, then leaned it out on no throttle deceleration of the engine. Many tuned bikes with aftermarket exhaust and mods don't pop like that. Gotta love the extra power though and that triple sound on acceleration is plain music to my ears.

Thanks! So I did not install the block off plates so I believe it is not deleted. If I install the AIS block off plates then the pops will go away but it still has the rumble to it (what I was told by another XSR owner).

@@sdoismil I have block off plates with no popping it's completely gone, you can disable AIS in the ecu, when i had my ecu flashed he asked me if i wanted to disable AIS.

@@DeNFlix... ah ok yeah I don’t have the block off plates. I wanted to keep the pops. If I ever get sick of them I think I just need to install the block off plates and I’ll be good.

I got it from a buddy of mine but it is a Dart windscreen for the XSR900.

I know Vcyclenut has a great reputation but all that popping is not good for your bike or your ride out. A little bit of popping is cool I get it, but the fixture is too rich there and the unspent fuel is getting burnt in your exhaust (which again is not ideal). Do an O2 delete or AIS delete.

Before doing the tune I’ve heard that the pops won’t effect anything it’s just extra fuel that does not get burned off. I know when you do the tune with him he asks if you want it to pop or not I left the pops but if I get tired of the pops I will do the AIS block off plates.

Nothing causes Pedestrians to hit the sidewalk faster than a '73 Mazda RX2 with a diddled spring 4 barrel! . Much louder than a shotgun. Rev it UP, Pin the Tach, Turn off the ignition. Pump the accel for ~1 second, then Ignition Back ON!! PPPOOOWWW!!! Be a Terrorist with an RX2! Echos between buildings! Everyone Ducks! Nobody knows from where! Evenutally Blew the Side out of the muffler.

I think he also does the tune on the newer ones but not 100% sure. Haha scaring everyone with those pops! Need to go riding around for Halloween 🎃

You need to redo your tune, your exhaust pops are showing that you are running lean and that could possible damage your motor

Haha yeah now that I have the unmodified OEM db killer it does not pop as much anymore.

have you topped it out yet? my stock XSR900 can only get up to 133mph ish. I'm wondering what a flash can do for the top speed.

Those bikes should do significantly more stock. I did 128 on a stock xsr700 so yall can definitely do more, and you've got a better suspension to be doing it with
