Last night I was at Venice Auto Marine with Mr. Colby tuning an @EdelbrockTV Performance 1409 Marine carb on a Chevy 383. It is so nice to have instant AFR and horsepower/torque readings. We got the motor up to 354 hp and 420 foot pounds of torque with a really safe air fuel mixture across-the-board. All that torque is coming in really early, so that boat can come up on plane. Super fun!!

After a career as a Paramedic and listening to sirens all day, I now live with tinnitus and hearing loss. Tinnitus is not fun nor is constantly saying what did you say! WEAR ear protection it’s easy to do and a lot cheaper than hearing aids

First, speaking as a progressively deafer old truck driver, please put on some hearing protection. Second, I wish I could find a place that at least had an exhaust sniffer, because I have trouble getting the idle set up properly.

She lost credibility in the first 45 seconds of this video. That nipple on the air horn does not go to the gas tank. That nipple connects to the vent on a mechanical fuel pump so if the diaphragm fails it doesn't pump gas into the bilge and blow up your boat. If the fuel pump starts leaking it will flood the carburetor and make the engine run rough to alert you to a problem. This isn't me talking, it is Coast Guard Regulations.
