Hi there , I have the basher sabertooth truggy with .28 engine and I'm having trouble tuning the LSN , it blows heaps of smoke so I lean it 1/8th turn and the idle just gets so out of wack , I try and adjust the idle every turn until the acceleration was really good but the revs hang after throttle , I can't seem to get the idle right ?

hey JT, good vids man, lots of help... love ur work. i have a question... my nitro engine chews glow plugs. on a good day, ill use 1 glow plug per tank of nitro.. pretty crazy. do u know if a rich/lean running engine will cause the element in the glow plug to get deformed and look like its been sucked or pushed back into the plug itself? hard to picture i know, if u want a picture i can link/upload an example of 1 of my glow plugs. thanks heaps and keep up the useful nitro tips!

just got a Revo 3.3 used and I found that had to set the LSN then the HSN and after I got the HSN correct I had to readjust the LSN for idle rpm point. after that the thing pops right off every time. worm or cold. the guy I got it from had the HSN 3x richer then it should have been and the idle and throttle control set way to high just to keep it running. what a goof

to increase air fuel which way do i turn the needle? left or right?

Hi, in the video I know you use .18 Force engine, I just got one too, but I mass up the setting of low speed niddle, do you still remmeber what is factory setting for this engine ? my car runs for few times during break in , become harder and harder to get it to start. then I play around the LSN without write it done the setting, pls help.

Hey..im a fan. I just got a traxxas nitro rustler and im using your vids once I complete my break in. I just wasnt sure what that ideal idle sound was suppose to be as you set the idle needle. Do you want it as lean as possible without it dying? Same clockwise to lean counter clockwise to richen applies on idle needle? Thanks

Hi um I have a question. Well I just got into the nitro hobby and got a 1/8 exceed madbeast. Well the first run I got it to go, but the second run(next day) it went full throttle anf breaks were almost useless. Luckily we caught it but is that perhaps due to the tuning? And btw it is 2 speed transmission car.

great video mate however I need some more info and you may be the man for the job. I have a ftx frenzy bought from a friend that broke it in correctly but then messed the carb settings up completely. in now runs like a bag of spanners if at all. I have the manufactures instructions however they don't tell you the factory settings for any of the needles. I am happy with the location of the high speed needle and the low speed needle. the engine bogs down and quits just after idle????? any ideas

hi mate in some of your videos i noticed you were still using the AM radio system. Can i ask why you are since after recently switching to 2.4ghz i would only use AM while waiting to set the car up with 2.4ghz

What about VP PowerMaster fuel? I run a T-Maxx 2.5 with the original TRX2.5 on VP master basher 20% nitro with 14% synthetic/castor blend. Is that too much oil? Also I use 2 different exhaust systems. My stock plastic tuned exhaust system and a RD Logics twin outlet rear exhaust (RDL61515P). I broke it in (had it taken to HobbySports in Portage, MI TWICE since it wasn't shifting into 2nd gear at all and had it tuned on Cooper's 20% nitro [didn't say the oil content/package but it was hot pink in color] and ran it 1 gallon on Fantom Performance Blend 20% nitro (strawberry colored & don't know the oil content/package wither), 2nd gallon was Traxxas 20% nitro (blue colored), my third gallon, which I'm on now is the VP PowerMaster's Master Basher 20% with 14% synthetic/castor package purple colored. My engine has hit 405 degrees FAHRENHEIT without the body with the dual exhaust installed using this fuel. It runs best @ 290-320 degrees with the stock plastic exhaust system installed body on or off when in perfect tune. The engine still runs, glow plug is still intact, and piston/sleeve feels plenty tight (more than tight enough to pinch my fingers after performing after run maintenance). What's wrong with it? This is my first Nitro model (which I plan on installing a TRX 3.3 in once the 2.5 gives up or I run out of fuel).

Hey wat do i do if my rc car will start qith the igniter and me pushing the throttle but when i take the igniter out and let go of the throttle it dies .... Oh and my idle speed screw is all the way in

well done, really good video,,:) and remember about 50% of your cooling comes from the the air/fuel mix. So if it runs lean, it gets too hot and the motor wont like it;) or even die:(.. have fun:)

My Sandmaster mk2 as far as i can see has no low end niddle . The high needle is all the way down to stop. it starts but if u turn it too much counterclockwise it floods out. Also my sandmaster mk2 don't move when u give it the gas. wondering if my differential is out. 1 sode is tight otherside is loose and turning when u hold it either by hand or with ellen wrench. u turn the gear by hand the both move. put it on the ground car smokes and standing still. got nobbie tires on back

The HSN controls air and fuel mix from Partial (around half) to full throttle. LSN is idle speeds and low speed driving
