I came across your channel when I began food tech at my senior school and you could say binge watched your videos and made so many of your recipes, and when we began baking and developing our own stuff for our final assessment that counted as 80% of my final grade - thanks to your recipes I got an A. I may have left my senior school and started college now but I am a massive fan and love cooking with such a passion :D

Hi Tiltis, I'm Tunisian and I'm happy that you love Tunisian food :) My mum add more Tomato paste and replace Lemon with Preserved lemon, she make it thinner than yours she also add some capers and chickpeas.

This is a nice hearty soup, perfect for this time of year! I love that you put in lemons. I bet that gives it a nice zip!

This recipe looks great and I'd like to try it in the near future! Quick question. Would sriracha be a viable substitute for harissa?

Titli! I would message you but I'm not sure how to do it from my phone.... Do you have a recipe for pierogi??? (I think I spelled it right, they are kind of like dumplings) I would love to see a video on them from scratch.

I am a sucker for anything spicy, and I have heard many legends about this Harissa paste from my Libyan friends. They said it's too spicy it would even dominate me, but when I finally got to try it, I've proven them dead wrong. It still tasted great though.

So, would it be fine to just add minced chili peppers instead of harissa? (Perhaps putting them into the pan a little earlier.)

Emperor Spock That would work.

"that sounds a bit like a sneeze" hahahah :) that's my favourite soup, but that's not at all the way I cook it, mine is without semoulina or lemons (just a bit of flour dilued in water at the end to give it consistance) and with a magical ingredient: Mint! Favourite meal of my late grand father as well, used to eat it for breakfast before going to work. Your hsou looks delicious though and I'm very curious at how the lemon tastes! I'll definetly try it! Lots of love

first no semolina then the main ingredient is missing dry mint and where are the meat balls? this is a version you chose to do and that is fine but please do not call Tunisian Hsou - that is not.
