Turbo Accord Vs Focus ST & Golf GTI (racing) + Mustang!

1994 Accord takes on a full bolt ons Ford focus ST and an 09 golf GTI. 2016 Mustang Ecoboost jumps in the fun.
Accord is estimated 300whp running on E85, stock motor, stock clutch, garrett 50 trim t3/t4, ID1000 injectors, Hondata S300, and other supporting mods. Tires are 205/50/15 Federal 595 RSRR street tuned by @Dardantuned.
ST is full bolt ons (downpipe midpipe intercooler intake) running on E30 fuel mixture and stage 3 COBB tune. 280whp
GTI is all stock except a stage 1 tune and a good ass driver. GTI took out the ecoboost mustang off camera.

I love sleepers. That Honda definitely would surprise a lot of modded cars! I have a 2016 Focus ST "Stage 3 Cobb 93" tune for my daily. But my 91 Miata with a big turbo (same t3/t4 the Accord here has) and 04 Cavalier that had an LSJ swap/supercharger were very surprising...both right at about 300whp...which is the limit of the ST on the stock turbo. All 3 felt different even at the same power levels.. so each platform has its pros and cons. Btw...that ST has some cool wheels, but they look heavy. Drop those and get some light weight wheels to shed a few lbs at each corner, 100% noticeably faster.

So the ST is on E30 mix but not an E30 tune? Just the ots tune from cobb???

I guess cause Cobb doesn’t have an e30 tune. I have a Stratified e30 tune. I was running a Cobb stage 3 93 tune then went to strat.

@@Joshua-lp8jj You still got this? Im the same right now. Cobb OTS stage 3/93 in my 2016 ST. I know a tune can 'wake up' a car, but I think an OTS tune is 'safe' (conservative) compared to custom tunes that squeeze out more power. I know to really max out the stock turbo, you gotta run an E30 blend. Thankfully here in south Texas 93 is readily available..as are E85 pumps. I just never bit the bullet and got a custom tune yet ^_^

Go stratified 93 and you will be amazed at what you were missing with the Cobb tune. Had mine tuned for about 60k miles now no issues.

@@dham99 Stratified, 93 and E30. But its such a hassle with E30 you can feel the extra power, but after a couple years of it 93 is just fine for me.
