Here's a video demonstrating a simple taping technique to stabilise/splint the big toe joint following an acute turf toe injury ✔️
A turf toe injury occurs when there is hyperextension of the 1st metatarsophalangeal joint (Big toe joint). This results in a sprain of the ligaments that support the joint❗. This taping technique can also be beneficial for painful flareups of osteoarthritis of the big toe joint. 🌟
Note: Rigid taping is preferred, however ensure that you do not have any taping allergies prior to application.
