Turkey Pattern Test: Apex OL' Tom Blend TSS 20ga + Jeb's .565 headhunter + Rem 870

Gun: 2003 Remington 870 youth 21" barrel 20ga
Choke: Jeb's Headhunter .565
Distance: 40yds

I got 3 boxes ea 20ga and 12ga hoping for the best. Nice to finally see a pattern test on these shells. Came beautifully packaged in a wood box and the shells themselves are gorgeous. Can’t wait to pattern test the 12ga later this week

Real nice pattern, and now Apex has a mossy oak edition 9/10 blend out I imagine is gonna have a killer pattern

I’d love to get my hands on it I’ve been looking. Looks like it only comes with the numbered mr. Fox vests for $450 and I just can’t drop that dough right now.

@@pdoutdoors1506 not sure about that I know they have so many boxes that will have a matching number to the vest if you call and order. But it’s on the website and let’s me go all the way to check out with them.

Yep I patterned that same load yesterday shot it out of patternmaster anaconda .570 shot better than the apex 9s.

Awesome pattern 👍. Only thing is I live in NY and I can't use it. Nothing smaller than #8 shot allowed. Really stinks because Tungsun is awesome. Also Blue Collar Outdoors out of NY does pattern tests for a couple of years. Thanks for sharing

Just use the #8's. You'll kill everything you shoot at, within reason.

@@TODinWY well I am Old School and not paying $50-70 for 5 shells. I shoot #5 lead and don't have any problem out to 40 yds. To me it's calling a Tom into 30 or closer.

@@danielmastin3606 If you ever decide to drop to a "sub" gauge that is where TSS really shines. In a 20 gauge it will outshoot most any 12 gauge lead load. But, to each their own! Good luck this season.

@@kykrazy6050 I have used a 20 ga for about 20 years. I feel even with lead shot they kill better than a 12. I shoot a Stoeger 20 3" #5s. They work great for me. I don't shoot past 35 yds any ways.

Got my hands on a box of these as well. Killed a bird this morning at 57 yards with them in my 20 gauge here in Mississippi. Didn’t realize he was that far down the road but these are a great load.
