Stuart is in Turkey trying Sheep head and Cow Stomach (Tripe) soup called Iskembe and finishes it off with a nice Turkish ice cream dessert! Would you be adventurous enough to try this traditional Turkish street food???

I emigrated to canada almost 3 years ago and the only things I miss are iskembe and kokorec. God, I really miss them… I miss it so much that we tried to make fake iskembe soup with chicken instead and it was just… not the same

Well we are drinking it after a good drinking night with a drunk head. Even we call it as hangover soup.

Curry is not used in traditional Turkish cooking, it's cumin you sprinkled on the head meat etc.

Ahh I see, thanks for that. Very curry like in appearance. Also a bit like turmeric too, great health benefits in turmeric

The cheese bread seemed good 🤣. I think the only meat I’d try would be the head meat……… that really doesn’t sound right. Maybe the soup if I had some liquid courage and didn’t know what was in it😬. But ya gotta try things once I guess. Unless someone’s giving me some dollars on a dare. The eyeball would be a pass though , not my kind of texture 😂

As a Turk, I had distanced myself from eating internal organs of an animal for quite a long time. Until I tried the işkembe (stomach) soup and later kokoreç (intestine kebap). Now I pity myself for all these years. :) Saying that I still can not try the brain or tongue to be honest. Maybe I am missing the best part.
