Since you were a little confused with the damage types ill give a short lil explanation, stuff like dissolve will have a noticeable effect. Stuff like BLAST will have an effect on like striders, the other effects like poison or something mainly have effects on players.

So basically if something is resistant to normal bullet dmg but not burn or poison it will be noticeable but on most of the NPC it does basically nothing

Not in servers where player's maximum health depends on how much time he spends on server.

With the damage type thing, it doesn't apply status effects to the target, it is used more internally. It mostly affects sounds and particle effects that play on kill. But generally it doesn't matter. I could be a little wrong because I haven't touched much inside of gmod or hl2 in a while, but I should be right

Some NPCs have resistances to certain Damage Types. That's what the Damage Type menu is for.

The Tracers setting is “show tracer for every x shots” so lowering it shows the tracer effect more often. I.E. at 2 every two bullets shot will show a tracer effect. At 1, every single bullet shows a tracer effect.

i belive the dmg just changes what the damage is counted ass so poison COUNTS as poison and he fun part is energy makes people disintegrate i think im not sure kinda acts like the gun tool mod
