hold the hose in hot water next time you need to insert the filler, it makes the clear tube more malleable and then it cools and tightens up

Agreed, but perhaps remove 1” from the length of the line so it lays a bit more in unison to shape of the fuel hose? I agree with camera man, it’s a tad too long

That Radium fuel cell install is clean. Those 10.5 gallons are going to go by quick, especially on E85

For the fuel tank "isolator" I found out cheap door/trunk seals work exceptional as well.

this is my favorite build of all time, the 300zx is my child hood dream car, I anxiously wait for every espisode running the fuel tubes parallel looks way better, if there was a nice billet tube clamp/holder than ran them parallel, would like sick lastly when this build is complete I would love to buy everyone lunch and see the car in person. ❤

On those fuel hoses I would put a butterfly zip tie clamp to ensure the vent doesn’t drop

Heat gun or even hairdryer would help make the rubber house easier to stretch over the filler neck.

trick of the trade for hoses that are tight... use a heat gun and warm up the hose and use isopropyl alcohol and goes right on and the iso evaps, boom done! Works really good with push lock/ instagrip hose.

Definitely route the evap on top of the fill… add some bougie zip ties (evenly spaced, of course) and call it a day 🤌🏻

Just a suggestion for next time. Put the end of the fuel pipe into boiling water until it softens up then after it’s on run it under cold water 👌. Ps watching from New Zealand love the work

I’m parting out a 2+0 car and I’m in socal, tons good interior parts and other goodies. I actually have a same project going got a z32 for 300 bucks and now I’m swapping my engine to that car due to it being a salvage title and the 300 dollar one is a clean title.

Next time dealing with a hose dont use lube just dip the end in boiling hot water it makes it very pliable and will be a lot easier 😉

Moving the gas tank from in front of the rear subframe to behind it. Wonder if that will affect the handling negatively.

Always use weld through primer before welding in a piece of sheet metal like that. Those overlaps will rust from the inside out.

easy way to install that clear hose is to dip the end of the hose in hot water for awhile and it will soften it

The next time you need to put something into a piece of pipe , heat up the pipe with a lighter or torch and the other piece goes in in nice and easy and then mold to the piece you put in.

Next time just heat up the ends of the vinyl , rubber or silicone hoses to be more flexible to fit easily without suffering 😂

If you let the vent tube hang it'll vent better because the fumes will be able to go straight up instead of going up and then flat. IMO

@@throtl 4 inches of flat sheet with 80 lbs of fuel and 20 lb fuel cell, high rpm drone from flex us a real possibility. Harmonics are a bitch, I deal with electronics, harmonics are a bit of a speciality.
