hey bjorn, I hope you don't mind me using your platform to spread the word about teleperion farms in oregon. Their home, nursery and various outbuildings were all destroyed in the beachie creek fire three days ago. If you are unfamiliar with them they have been a producer of wonderful bonsai for decades and friends and supporters of the bonsai community for as long. This is the go fund me page for them if you would like to help. thanks. www.gofundme.com/f/lisa-amp-chris-kirk-wildfire-recovery-fund?+share-sheet&

The clarity of your teaching is incredible! The words showing on the screen sure help. Thanks for another beautiful tree and lesson! I’ll probably never enjoy a personal stroll through your garden, or get to give Momo any treats, but anytime you want to film another walk around in the different seasons, please know I’m sure many of us would enjoy a casual walk and talk. Love the total casual vibes!

Imagine in a hundred years how this tree will look 😊 I’m really glad to have watched my friend do bonsai for the passed few years. I’ve always been a fan ever since I was little but never thought I’d be in some way taking my own bonsai journey. Such a peaceful art form, living nature sculptures, there really isn’t anything like bonsai

I bought 2 year old boxwood seedling to make into a mame bonsai .I was really excited, and for once I didnt start shaping right away. I kept telling myself "wait 1 year for it to settle into the pot" Turns out that little tree had some sort of virus, and it died in a week. Am sad now thank you for coming to my TED Talk

Hai Bjorn, thanks again for a very great video! Your’re videos are so much more relaxed than Ryan Neil who stress me out for no reason. You are also much more better looking to watch and that reality counts on youtube too.

Thanks for the well presented and informative upload as it solved a question I'd been asking myself with what to do with the apex of one of my junipers. Wiring and changing the direction back in to itself to create a new apex seems a much better option than any other I had been mulling over.

Thank you for this video. I’m a newbie to bonsai and got m first tree last year. I recently bought a miniature spruce and a cascade style pot and will transplant and wire it soon then let it rest for the summer. I think it will end up being a semi cascade similar to the one you did here.

When you water the tree, do you lower it from the tilted position then reposition it after it has drained. Or do you put extra drainage holes at the low point of the pot so water doesn’t pool in the pot. Thanks. Looking forward to seeing the tree in a year from now.

Awesome!! Would have been really helpful to see the detail of the apex that you described ahead of time, so beginners could get a better idea of what you did for it. A final spin and maybe a view from above would also be helpful but, you STILL are hands down doing a great job of explaining, demonstrating and presenting GREAT bonsai content for everyone!!! Thanks for sharing! Continued success on youtube and your bonsai work!!

you go collecting up high in the mountains. Then you graft the kishu onto that, and after a few years, you get the starting material he had. It's work, and carrying a tree a long ways from the road is not easy.
