Mama Lulu is a mood. I love it when she calls us viewers “ mga anak”. Sarap pakinggan. I miss my mom. She’s also good at using anything she could find in the pantry and make something amazing and delicious. You are very lucky, Sir Oliver.

I love that y'all made this KZfaq. Mama Lulu reminds me of my grandma. We call her Nanay and she's back in the Philippines. I miss her. Your videos also help me practice my Tagalog. I didn't get the opportunity to learn but I understand it and can answer back in English.

What I love about this challenge video is Mama Lulu being able to make a delicious, filling dinner from a very economical ingredient and a other inexpensive staples you might already have in the kitchen. That dinner looks hearty, delicious, and very inexpensive!

As a Sāmoan we eat canned corned beef with rice, or taro. You can just fry it with onions, or we add a can of spaghetti to it. We even use it in SapaSui(Chop Suey). Or macaroni soup with peeled tomatoes.

yasss, we eat it with rice too! with sauteed onions or with an egg, sometimes the corned beef is actually added into the egg to make omelette! lot of similarities between us

Thanks Mama Lulu. Funny, about 30 years ago my Philippine friend made stir fried canned corned beef and rice for me. He also would use canned salmon too sometimes. Of course it was delicious like all your recipes.

Mama Lulu! Di naman po sa nangingialam ako pero tip po 😃 instead na tubig yung pang simot ng Campbell sa can yung pinagkuluan po mismo ng corned beef pwede din. Para di na kayo mag adjust ulit ng lasa. Pero super idol ko kayo! Ingat po palagi!! More yummy dishes to come!

Mukang masarap yan Mama Lulu. Tamang tama completo ang ingredients ko. Meron din akong corned beef na pure foods, hereford at ox & palm. Lulutuin ko sa Saturday yan. Asawa ko mahilig sa tortang corned beef na may patatas.

My mom and grandma always used to speak in Tagalog to me, so this is interesting to see what I can understand. The funny thing that I notice as an adult is how many American words are said but with a Filipino accent. I love that. Don’t need translations 😅

Yep, I personally call it a poor man's or budget version when using canned corned beef instead of normal chicken for sopas or ground beef for spaghetti. But hey, we make do with what we have, right?
