Approximately how long does it take for the umbilical stem to heal so it’s easier for us nonfarmers to be able to see from a safe distance to tell who is a female versus male? I was babysitting a little girl and she kept calling me female dog a “him” and I told her that it was a girl because there were no hangy down parts. She said oh it doesn’t have”peanuts”. But with steers not having peanuts 🥜 only peni and those being in close proximity to the umbilical stumps it made me wonder how I could explain that difference with calves. Had to share a cute story with a stranger but serious question. Thank you for sharing your experience and life’s journey. God bless your life’s pursuits.
