To be fair the actual Dall-E is much better than Dall-E mini, the stuff the actual image generator AIs can make is pretty gd serious.

They tried to frame Goofy by putting his prints on the gun, but they made one critical mistake: Goofy always wears gloves.

Fun fact: Mike Myers originally voiced Shrek with a Canadian accent but then changed his mind after recording and decided it should be Scottish, forcing animators to redo the lip-sync. DALLE is usually pretty bad at faces but I put in "Tom Hanks as a serial killer" and it was pretty flawless.

My understanding is that Dall-E is actually capable of rendering great faces, but it is programmed not to do faces of real people or characters.

I like that everyone’s new icons look very tired and have messier hair than before

So for anyone curious; the reason dall-e has problems with faces is because it was deliberately made with that flaw, so that bad actors cant use it for deepfakes

A couple suggestions for another Dall-E episode: 1: Find more random Dall-E prompts (cuz they can get pretty wild as we know). Draw them based off the prompt without seeing the pictures and then reveal what the website actually made. OR 2: You take one (preferably thoroughly mangled) picture from a set, and one person has to describe it (without seeing the prompt) while the other person draws, and at the end you reveal the prompt and the picture that was being described (as well as the rest of the generated pictures ofc) and see how close you got both in description and in drawing. (Idk how to explain things so I hope that makes sense)

Suggestion !! Everybody starts a drawing, and they rotate between all of you every minute, until the pictures are more or less complete. You can't erase what is already on the drawings when they get to you (even more fun if you don't erase anything at all, so every line makes it into the end picture), and you can't say what you were trying to go for. It's kind of like gartic phone, with no describing, the pictures don't get restarted, and everything is either trying to figure out what the previous person was going for and following that, or making it as chaotic and wacky as possible by adding something unexpected.

Suggestion: Holidays as Dark Soul bosses. Hanukkah and Día de Muertos come to mind.

Fun fact: Those Captchas they joked about at the beginning are actually training self driving vehicles! It’s pretty cool. The old ones with the squiggly letters were used to digitize massive libraries that were scanned into databases. Each time you solved one, you taught a computer to read or fix an error. It works like this; The computer has a word it doesn’t recognize, maybe because of a flaw in the ink, or scanning or whatever.. lets say that word is “Draw”. The computer takes this mysterious word “draw” and combines it with a word it does already know, “home” and warps them both a bit randomly and shows them to you. If you type in “draw home” it assumes you got the word “draw” correct, because you also got “home” correct. It will do this a few times with different people and if everyone agrees that the word says “draw” it knows that it’s correct. Then it moves on to another word that it’s struggling with. This system did millions and millions of words every second worldwide! We taught robots to read and store our books and info each time we bought something online, or logged into our email or whatever… pretty cool! So… the self driving car one works very similarly. It takes any potential errors from actual self driving car data, or the millions of miles of training data and it will grab snapshots of the error. If the car accidentally ran a stop sign, or stopped late at a red light or failed to recognize a hazard… it will take the snapshot and send it to us with other images it knows the same way the word captcha does.. this one just happens in stages. It might ask you to click on stop signs for basic recognition, or it might ask you to identify traffic signals in one large image divided into squares, because it might have mistaken a reflection or store signage for a red or green light but if you don’t click on that, and only click the traffic signal, you’re teaching it to discern them. It’s a bit more complicated, but basically the same system of combining information it knows and information it doesn’t and asking you about both to see if you’re a trustworthy source of information. Pretty cool, huh?

I have a drawing suggestion: Draw band names literally. For example: Neon Trees, you have to literally draw neon colored trees (or neon lights in tree shape, that's up to your interpretations). I love your videos, you guys are always so much fun, thank you! :D
