Hallo Chris, vielen lieben Dank 😊 Ja, der Wasserschaden hat letztlich schlimmer ausgesehen als er war. Offenbar haben Kastenwagen einen Zwischenboden, wo das Wasser durch kann und da sind jede Menge kleine Öffnungen, wo es raus kann. Der Meachaniker meinte, ich solle viel rauf und runter fahren und Hitze wäre gut. Das ist in der Toskana natürlich kein Problem 😆 Und es geht danach ja auch noch weiter in andere, gebirgigere Regionen mit vielen Steigungen. Hab ein schönes Wochenende, Christian

Hi Adrian, thank you so much, buddy 😊 First I thought there would be any hose of the water system cracked, but it was hidden behind the shower cabine. The mechanican in the garage found out then that it was "just" the bolt, which keeps the hose inside the armature of the shower. He meant that it was wrong dimensioned and I had luck that it didn't happen during my trip. The shock was big, I have to say and I missed the weather I was waiting for 2 weeks of waiting. But in the end, I think it was really luck in bad luck 😅 By the way, as I know that you are also interested in a box van: the mechanican meant, water damages are usually not as bad in box vans than in other motor homes, because they have a 2nd flour where the water can run through in case of a water damage. There are little holes where the water can run out. So it looked worse than it felt 😊 So, a box van is definitely a great choice! Have a great weekend, Christian

And by the way, I think, you mentioned one of the core problems in landscape photography. For sunset shootings I was often able to persuade my wife at least for pressing the shutter release button of my 2nd button, but for sunrise - no chance. @@christian.irmler wake-up many hours before sunrise is "the challenge" in landscape photography 😅 Sometimes I go with my tent to the Dolomites and so if I fall asleep my camera continues to shoot... 😂 but it doesn't happen, the emotion of seeing the Milky Way, the silence of being in the middle of nature is too beautiful, so I stay up most of the night 😅😅

It was so shocked when I saw all that water running out, but the mechanican told me that boxed vans have the advantage that there is a double flour where the water can float through and there are little holes where the water can go out completely. I didn't know that before, to be honest. But that's definitely a big advantage :) As it looks right now, there is no permanent damage by that. It just delayed my trip and I missed some days with glorious weather&light. But I don't want to complain 😊 Nice greetings, Christian

Hi Guido, thank you so much for your kind comment, my friend 😊 My plan was to drive down in the beginning of May (Tuscany was just a stop between, there will come more from more in the south, which will be revealed in my upcoming videos), but due to a couple of troubles I had to shift it back and finally I got down around the last week in May. The water came out because that bolt that should keep the hose inside the armatur of the shower was dimensioned wrong. Things like these happen only when the guarantee is over, of course 😬 I was quite shocked, but it looks like there is no long-term damage or so. That is at least what the mechanican said. @christian.irmler yeah car repairs can be a pain in the ass financially. I worked at a car dealership for 20 years and seen the weirdest things happening. I was in volterra at the first week of may. Amazing conditions on one morning ( cloud inversion) the rest was rain, rain and more rain 😅 there is a video of it on my channel if you're interested 🙂 looking forward to your next video!

Hallo Erich, zuerst dachte ich da wäre ein Wasserschlauch hinter der Duschkabine geplatzt, aber der Mechaniker in der Werkstatt fand dann heraus, dass es "nur" der Bolzen war, der den Schlauch in der Duscharmatur hielt. Er meinte, der wäre falsch dimensioniert. Sowas passiert natürlich erst nachdem die Garantie abgelaufen ist 😬 Naja, offenbar hat es schlimmer ausgeschaut als es letztendlich war.
