Turnin Rust

Turnin Rust

5 жыл бұрын

In recognition of Turnin Rust's 1st birthday, we're bringing you guys a jammed packed 2 Hour Anniversary Special!!
Thank you guys for the continued support!
Next on Turnin Rust, The guys kindle an old flame with a 1955 Chevy Pickup. Having high hopes to finding it new home, they dress it up with a little Turnin Rust appeal to to seal the deal.
Back at the shop, wrenches are turning to get the 1954 retro metro alive and on the road again. At the request from the new Denmark owners, this former forgotten yard art, would be transformed into a pin up picture of patina perfection.
Out on the prowl of small east Texas towns they cross lines with a 1962 Chevy stepside c10. Tracking down the owner they're able to catch up on the history of this untouched all original work horse.
Will this purchase be a success or are they just spinning their wheels.
Following some questionable directions, past memories are sparked as Lance gets a lead on a 63 GMC Short Bus thats just too old school cool to pass up.
In the midst of Texas heat and aggravation, the guys fight to save the life of a 1959 BMW isetta. At the point of pulling the plug, sparks ignite to revive the heartbeat in what hasn't ran in over 30 years!
Feeling overly confident, Wesley challenges Lance and Wyatt to a little micro car competition. Each bringing out the big guns, they line up to see who walks away with small town bragging rights. Will he have what it takes to win the race or will this be a total Rust buster..
Be sure to check out our friends at MAXXD Trailers! They hooked us up with a Drop-N-Load trailer, it makes loading a breeze! Check out their other models at www.maxxdtrailers.com

Good day to you all in Texas! I have worked a job driving a short bus since year 2000. The buses I have driven always been for public transit never school bus transit. I would probably enjoy driving an old GMC short bus. Good luck with getting the old yellow bus running and driving again! Watching from Southern California.

I love that these fellas use a lot of manual techniques to do the work.... clean up the original parts, don’t buy anything you don’t have to, no tire dismount machine, just good ole dismount bars and muscle. 😂👍💪

My Wife drove Bus for 38 yrs. She had a lot of stories to tell. One in particular ( after seeing your Dad in the Bus) was a little kid who said Bus Driver these windows are SALTY'. after licking the window. Had to share that with you.

Those 305 V6 motors are bulletproof. I had one in a 64 GMC pickup and it ran solid. Terrible gas mileage, but enough torque to pull a house.

Hey guys. From watching your work, and your expertise with hydraulics, you guys have GOT to save a Citröen DS 21 from an ignominious death far from its home. Citröen set up shop in America around the time they introduced the ultra-exotic SM. After a few years of butting heads with the regulators, they gave up and returned to France. But. . . A lot of Citroens are still around in the USA. One of them would be the ultimate garage find. They haven’t yet become collector classics, but within a few years they will. Between now and then I’d wager once you got your hands on a big Citröen, your inner industrial designers will be woke to one of the greatest sedans of the 20th Century.

My Aunt had one of these Same Isetta 30 'bubble cars' many years ago- in the UK. They seemed as bizarre to me then as This One looks now ! But It was great fun and we went all over the place in that little car. I could never work-out what Auntie was doing with those clunky spartan controls up front, but we never rolled or crashed. Nice, Thanks.
