I want to use the Anubis to transfer my tracks from my reel to reel tape machine back to my PC to create a CD! Has anyone used the Anubis for this scenario?

I own an Anubis with a Merging Horus mainly for recording classical music (and never used the "Music Mission" however I would like to track some bands performing Pop/Rock music and provide them with an inear-monitor mix. So the option Music Music will come into play which is very handy now at my studio I use an SSL UF8 fader controller and was wondering if the mixer in the Music Mission can be operated by the means of a controller and if so which controllers are compatible with Merging's mixer?

Yes, the music mission would be the perfect tool for such application. Unfortunately Anubis is not directly compatible with controllers, but you have a very intuitive webrowser that you may open on a tablet or computer and manage it from there. Hope this helps

Hi, thanks for a great presentation. I’m thinking of getting an Anubis for my synth studio. I would use it with Logic and Reason on my M1 iMac with hardware synths. How would I connect the Anubis to the Mac and what kind of latency (round trip in milliseconds) figures would be achievable with a small buffer in the DAWs? Am I correct that the Anubis can record 4 line level signals simultaneously? (4 mono signal synths for example)? Sorry for basic questions but I’m new to this but want the highest sound quality possible.

Hello, thank you for the nice comment. The latency will depend on the amount of process your M1 is undergoing but this is why you have an internal mixer in the Anubis to be able to have a NO latency headphone monitor for example whilst recording. Anubis has indeed 4 analog inputs (2 Mic + 2 Line) and you can record them all at the same time if your DAW is setup for it

Are these effets (eq, comp, reverb) actually before the converter or the DAW? Meaning that what is recorded would be the « effected » signals?

Hi, By default the Record is directly after the Preamps, but there is a setting to record Post-Effects the channels strips ( EQ, Dynamics, Deesser) at the same time or not and also a setting to record Post Effects the Parrallel Effects (Reverb, ll Dynamics and Sends) via the Bus Returns.

You can have a 12 channel version or even more by adding more inputs and/or outputs such as the Hapi to the Anubis

It takes approx 20 seconds to go from one mission to another. The boot up sequence (when Anubis has previously been shut down) is approx 180 seconds

Hello, you can use the PoE from the switch, no need for external PSU. The touch screen is the size of a smartphone's touchscreen, and the entire world is using them. But you may use the remote webrowser screen and have it in a bigger dimension
