I wish that they gave an Emmy award to Elizabeth Montgomery at least once.

I know. She kept getting nominated but never won. She looked so hopeful at 5:09. I figured TDVDS would sweep that year since it was their last, but why not later? Lucille Ball's best work was on "I Love Lucy," not "The Lucy Show."

I love Mary TM, but Elizabeth Montgomery is my favorite TV actress. The fact that Liz was nominated nine times throughout her career and NEVER won is a sin!! Something is wrong with the TV Academy.

Elizabeth Montgomery may not have received an Emmy or a Golden Globe, but she had something else, millions of fans who loved her, and still do, not just in the US, but internationally. BEWITCHED has been on the air for almost fifty years, gaining new fans in different generations. It has been the spur for similar shows like CHARMED, SUPERNATURAL, and SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH. But for me, BEWITCHED will always be #1. Finally, some think that Liz didn't win an award, because she didn't play the Hollywood game. Love the commercial with her in this clip.

The Emmy's, 1966, when Hollywood were just normal American's who just happened to be on TV. My father was a mailman and used to deliver mail to many celebrities on his route, and most of them, despite fame, lived in normal sized houses, not behind high walls and gates.

Quake & Quisp, two more examples of how you can recycle the same cereal in new shapes and still manage to gull the kids to ask their parents for it. (All it was was Cap'n Crunch in different shapes.) That was William Conrad as Quake, and the ubiquitous Daws Butler as Quisp.

So much energy in these clips and reflecting the times; funny how there is effort to mimic this in the past couple decades, with false persona and special effects, yet it falls flat and can't capture a spark from the life in these analog productions.

Some of them were on Merv Griffon's talk show about that time. Showed the whole Black Knight scene from Holy Grail. Cut to Merv, and he looked like he'd been poleaxed. And not in a good way, he couldn't see the funny in the clip at all. Lost a lot of respect for him right then and there. One of the funniest 'skits' I've ever seen. Not that it could ever be filmed today.

7:36- "NO HOLDS BARRED" lasted exactly four episodes (the original "Go-Go's" appeared as musical guests during one of them). During this period, Kelly also starred on a very successful variety show on the BBC....which lasted a lot longer.

Elizabeth Montgomery was definitely robbed multiple times by the Emmys/TV Academy. Liz did not play "industry games." She was modest and didn't like to talk about herself or her private life. She played many diverse roles with a great deal of economy and believably.
