This is one of my favorite fighting games ever and I love that I can appreciate these endings more now that I am older and know the references. Amazing video!

I'm so glad you covered this. TvC is super under appreciated and I love the hell out of it even if I barely know of Tatsunoko, it made me go back and watch their shows and see all the references they took from and made it work as their supers. Not to mention having 2V2 again, that Nintendo Power magazine made me so hype to get the game all those years ago. It shows that Capcom can make a great Marvel game without Marvel, and it sucks that they won't do something like this ever again. Imagine Capcom VS Sega like this.

I love that this game survived into the modern era and still has a presence in online tournaments. In fact, you can find it at majors like Frosty Faustings, EVO, Combo Breaker, etc. Just goes to show that good games never die.

The Raizo one is a role reversal from Rival Schools. In RS he's in the hospital after getting beaten up and Batsu is by his side. He gets discharged from the hospital in the end. Raizo is also Batsu's father which makes it a little bit funny since Raizo was brainwashed and Batsu had to beat him up 😂🥴

I’ve always wanted to play this one cause I remember some gaming magazine had a super in depth guide to it and listed all the characters with a little bio and how to do inputs and specials. Really liked how goofy the Tatsunoko cast seemed despite never actually seeing any gameplay of it at all. The Condors and the Yattermen teams really stuck out to me

This game really demonstrates what I love about crossover fighters. Where else could you see Roll reprogram combat robots into helpers or Morrigan get destroyed in a fighting game?

2 Issues at 2:22 Tenkai is listed twice, but the female characters name is Ohatsu and not Tenkai, next Jubei Yagyu was the protagonist of Onimusha 2, the female character running towards soki is actually akane yagu, a character assuming the yagyu name.

TvC is the best fighting game for the Wii. Period! I would love to see a sequel!

I don't know Tatsunoko but I can't lie. The amount of references they added and how creative they were with the endings is incredible. Capcom really knows how to make a crossover game. Gold Lightan was probably the funniest one XD.

I’m so glad youtube recommended this video! One of the things I loved about TvC were the easter eggs in the endings. I hope Capcom brings this game back and explores more on it now that the Marvel vs Capcom franchise is pretty much dead

Man Desk... I really love your taste in music. I didn't even know about Ginga Force at all until you mentioned it here. I saw the game-play of that game and it looks freakin amazing! I just made my purchase for it too!! I would love it if say from time to time you post random music from video games you've heard over the years that are catchy and nobody really pays much attention to it as much as you do. That would be super awesome if you could do that. I'd really appreciate it and would love to look at your music library too.

IIRC, here are other cameos :) - in Viewtiful Joe's, we see Silvia. - in Hakushon Daimaoh's, from the Japanese version exclusively, we have the fighter planes from 1942. - in Volnutt's, he find one of the skulls from Yatterman :P and Volnutt is voiced by Mayumi Tanaka, the same actress as Luffy from One Piece ;) - in Soki's animated ending, from the Japanese version again, we see Luficer... or whatever the final boss from Ghosts n Goblins is called :p - in Casshan's, we see the Andro army.

I think there should be a mod of TvC that would carry over most of the features from the original release (Cross Generation) to the updated rerelease (Ultimate All Stars), because both versions are so vastly different. I would love to play this game again with the character themes, anime endings, and play with Hakushon Daimao.

Now I wish someone would do all the special dialogue between characters. I know there are a few, like Joe vs Frank, Karas vs Alex, but I never understood what was said.

Admittedly, I played this game before I played Street Fighter 2 and for awhile I did not know Gold Lightan's ending was a clear reference to Ryu's haha. I did like the JP animated ending with Gold Lightan's VA actually shouting "Shoryuken".

This is a game that definitely needs to be re-released. Still the only Vs. game that has a playable Onimusha character.

Great to see the attention to the Capcom verse in the form of such fun references in these crossovers. It looks like that energy was higher in the 90s-00s Capcom. And makes me wish of a big Capcom crossover game one day. Ideally a fg, but at this point I'm taking other genres, like rpg.

It is a goddamn tragedy how this amazing game stayed exclusive to Wii. The one system that killed all 3rd party game exclusives almost immediately.

This was basically MvC 2.5. Movesets such as Zero, Ryu, and Viewtiful Joe were directly ported to MvC3. I'm glad to still have my original copy today.

I always love me some easter eggs and this video was exceptionally done. Although I'm pretty sure the second female warrior from Onimusha on the right (2:23) is named Akane Yagyu. Pretty sure the name Jubei is just their ancestral title. Hell, even Jubei's real name is Sougen Yagyu, lol.

Awesome video! I really love this game. There are also a lot of other references to other Tatsunoko shows as well (like in Casshan's ending showing the Andro Force). Saki's ending is also a reference to Ultraman. The Japanese version also has different endings.

Alia looks so random in Zero's ending i had this version and i wish it also had the animations from the japanese version i love the high quality still images but a bunch of explosive chun li robots and morrigan playing with a classic controller (wii is canon in darkstalkers) are very cute

Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom received the most effort Capcom ever provided in the versus series. No ondisc DLC, more than half the character models are new, no reused models (at least I think so), and no opportunistic pay to win mechanics.

I just remembered how ugly everyone looked in Zero's ending the proportions were so strange and the opening shot looked like Zero was in a diaper.
