As a born and raised Dallas girl I gotta agree with the manager. HOWEVER, this same restaurant clearly had no social distancing (which is a requirement in the DFW area for restaurants) and no masks anywhere. We do also have a mask mandate. One of his employees passed away from Covid and he kept his restaurant going as usual so that’s the only reason I don’t side with him at all. Stay safe out there y’all ✨💕

The thing is for a while we was going to brunch spots that weren’t catered to black people, and we kept asking for places that played lit ass music. That’s the kind of music we want to hear. Don’t get me wrong, I might buss a quick lil whine on the way to the bathroom. Hell I might even full on throw ass in the bathroom mirror before I go back out, but nobody wants ass swinging where THEY eat food. BUT the respectability politics were unnecessary. He should’ve kicked them out. He could’ve still made a brief announcement about standing on furniture and dancing in the dining area. He should’ve added an apology to any customers that were disturbed while eating.
