Sade is definitely the Queen of Quiet Storm (along with Anita Baker), but if you ever get a chance to catch her in concert, which only happens about once every 10/15 years, definitely do so. People forget that Sade is the female’s name, but it’s actually a full band, and they are off the chain. Hands down, one of the best bands ever!

No, her music is NOT like Toni or En Vogue. Her music is ZEN. That's it's! Just pure Zen like Spa Music while starring in the sky at night before you sleep. These other artists made you feel like the World was heavy on your soul. When I was a teenager listening to Toni, Sade, SWV or En Vogue, I felt like I was GROWN, Sexy and Married, like these beats made you wanna be freaky and emotional and cry out your soul. Too many Zen singers like Kev said.

No, there not. However, Jhene do have many levels. Her earlier work "Sailed Out" and "Sold Out" is tripping and dark. "Trip" and "Chilombo" shows her moving from darkness to where she is now with using her vocals as musical healing. The songs I'd suggest NOT to listen to while sleeping is 3AM and Jukai.

Foot’drag’ ging sometimes it’s not about racing to be happy again. Sometimes the best thing you can do is let yourself feel sad for a bit, then work to get back to being okay. Some people don’t have any other outlet than music. So I disagree that people listen to sad music because they want to “stay” sad. They’re listening to someone feel the pain they feel and that’s a healthier way to deal with it than pretending it doesn’t exist
