You gotta dig deep into some Guns N Roses man. But skip the pop hits from them, even though they are great so don't get me wrong but everyone does those, gotta dig deeper into Appetite for Destruction album and get and check out Mr. Brownstone, Out Ta Get Me, You're Crazy, Anything Goes, Rocket Queen, and My Michelle.

Off Lies, check out the acoustic version of You're Crazy, then check out their cover of Mama Kin (Aerosmith), and you might like Reckless Life. Off the Use Your Illusions check out Locomotive, Pretty Tied Up, Shotgun Blues, Don't Damn Me, 14 Years, Perfect Crime, Civil War, Yesterdays, and their cover of Knockin' On Heaven's Door.

Hell Yeah! Finally someone reacted to Maggot Brain. Eddie Hazel should be on any greatest guitarists of all time list. Legend has it the George Clinton set Eddie down in a room full of amps and told him to play like his mama just died. Recorded in one take. Pure talent

Funkadelic was like combo of psychedelic rock and funk ( thus the name). Maggot Brain doesn't get enough recognition that it deserves. George Clinton was the master behind Funkadelic and the p funk sound. I think songs like this inspired Prince to pick up a guitar.

How did I miss this reaction? I LOVE this. Eddie Hazel was one of the best guitarists ever. The story is that George Clinton ton him to imagine the saddest thing he could like his mother dying and just play and then he said to play as of he found out shes alive (drugs may be been involved also). That's why it sounds so sad then happy. Check out "give up the funk", "flashlight", "swing down sweet Chariot", and "cosmic slop"

If you're listening to this on a mono speaker here's what you're missing: The sound of the lower melody is steadily playing from the left speaker, holding its form throughout, confidently unwavering. The rifts on the other hand, dominates the right channel, talking loud, creeping from the right adopting its life briefly in the left, shiftin in and out like a mirror image echoing its own thoughts. Talking on both sides, fading in and out. This makes me think of a child growing up. Trying to figure out it's form as they grow into adulthood. The left side melody makes me think of the light and darkness of the universe. The expressive guitar represents ourselves existing in that space, growing into an older age, feeling the completion of life 🧬 🌌

Thanks to George Clinton and his Funkadelic and Parliament groups, P funk became G funk. These are the cats you gotta thank for early tracks from acts like Dr Dre, Snoop, X Clan and De La Soul. Check out " Not Just Knee Deep" and "Flashlight" for an entirely different vibe to this .

George told Eddie, "play the first half like you just found out your mom died and play the second half like you just found out she's alive." On this video, 6:45 mark's the spot where he's just finding out she's alive.

The story behind this is when the guitarist asked how they wanted him to play, they told him 'play it like ya mama died'. So that's why youre getting that vibe.
