KZfaq blessed me with this in my feed, and gotta say, love when someone covers my all time favorite "racing" series

Actually, there seems to be 3 planned DLC vehicles for TM2012, which do have actual models but were never implemented, as far as I could tell. I was able to find Twister, Crazy 8, and Yellow Jacket models floating around on the internet. They all seem pretty consistent with TM2012's style so they looked pretty legit.

Coincidence, my friend just gave me a broken ps3 that i aim to fix to play mainly this game

As somebody who put in hours of multiplayer in that title, yeah online is fun as hell. Like it was a real disappointment when the servers shut down for good. Like I could of have seen this game competing with battle royales like Fornite or competitive multiplayers like Rocket League had Sony show support for the game. Like imagine the new vehicles and game modes each update for the title pops up?

I played the game wayyy too late into it's life-span. It sucks not being able to enjoy the cool online game modes but it is fun playing split screen.

Wow, I forgot this game existed until you showed the mechanic where you can swap cars in garages in certain levels. I hated TM Black and I vaguely remember giving this game a quick chance and didn't like it. Great video and I love your TM month series, thanks!

I remember playing this game on ps3 and for the most part it was alright but as for the story it's abit weird seeing characters in live action but the writing is decent, calypso in this game is a badass

Did you know that the endings for the Story Mode characters was supposed to be based on what difficulty you played it?

As someone who never cared about Twisted Metal, the visuals and your praise for this game makes me actually want to play this game. I'm really curious about your opinion on Vigilante 8. Make sure to play the N64 and Dreamcast (it's sequel) versions!

I still play this game with friends and cousins who come over with 4 players split screen. It’s AMAZING! We play as team death match and we’re all good at it.

This game was a lot of fun and had a greatly underrated (albeit short) single player mode. Unfortunately there were a lot of server headaches upon release (similar to Driveclub not working at launch) which kind of doomed it to obscurity and created a lot of fan backlash. I thought the style of the game was the best in the series. Best graphics and levels and bosses. It was really creative and darkly imaginative in the ways that David Jaffe does best.

TV show is coming and Also a new game

I bought this game at launch. The online buggy at first. Online games were laggy, games were crashing, can't connect to servers. They didn't fixed the game until 2 weeks later, if I recall. Apart from that and by the time the updates rolled out, the online play was dynamite fun! Servers weren't as janky. Plenty of dedicated servers too.

I totally get why it happened, but I still feel where TM went wrong was abandoning camp for edgelord, both were kinda there from the beginning, but I never even bothered to buy TM2012 cause the story looked meh and honestly I just don't play games online, so it looked like there was little for me. Good review though and glad you had a blast!

a pity that i have to wait next year for critical depth and rogue trip, but oh well

I can't explain how much I wanna have a ps3 just to play this one game.the other tm seem like nothing compared to this.

2023 here. Why can't we get the full series on new system for store or subscription preferably store. This for ps3 would be great on ps5. It must be licensing issue but com'on let our voices be heard bring it all back! They are bringing 1,2 back before the stupid movie and I'm happy for that but we want all of them. I want to replay this one.

Hopefully they eventually add it to PlayStation premium which I could see them doing eventually hopefully cuz I don't spend like feel like spending over $600 on PS3 just to play this again 😂

I’m happy you liked TM2012. It was so fun playing online with skilled payers back in the day. It is such a flawed game mostly because of Sony making so many bad choices for their own franchise. They just dont seem to have the right amount of confidence to do this series justice.

Sometimes I still hope Sony will make another twisted metal. I’ve waited all through the ps4 lifecycle and got nothing. I hope that the PS5 lifecycle will get a awesome twisted metal 😢
