I have been doing commercial snow removal and keeping a constant eye on the weather is part of my job. I tracked weather on all the apps and cable television channels in the past. This past year I have been following POW, not to try to figure out “will it snow?” but rather to better understand weather and understand how and why things can change so quickly. Thanks for your work!

@@sharonpeters7723 POW likes to hype up things WAYYY too far in advance just for his content and views, and does not really disclose about the inaccuracy of these model runs this early on. The second storm set to impact the midwest and northeast from Jan. 8-11 is going to change, A LOT. These models are all over the place and nothing will start to be set in stone until at least 72 hours out. Ryan knows this, and does not mislead viewers on this, he acknowledges this and waits till 5-3 days out to make even one video on it. He is more realistic, and POW is just a hype train. If you want a more realistic forecast, then Ryan is the way to go overall.

This guy loves the word "Periphery". I like the GFS model for the second storm. Puts alot more anow into southern Ontario. The Euro seems to want to push the warm far enough north for rain into southern Ontario.

Hi POW, I believe something is off about the storm coming up next week around the 9th and 10th timeframe. While you mentioned snow again in the Northeast by that time the local forecast for Philadelphia calls for flooding rain instead of major snow with that system. I think it may be indicating at this early stage that only the GFS model is showing snow during that time, and all the other models are showing rain based on what I've seen. I'm from nearby Philly who normally watches the weather and that's why I know what I am saying.

@@dirkdiggler9379 They get the information same way as any other meteorologist does, but some people are correct and others can be wrong. In this case, I think what my local forecast for the Philadelphia area is correct due to the fact that the latest runs of the models I already saw completely dropped the chance for snow in the Northeast US next week. All are showing just rain for our area by then.

Two storms and 4 inches of snow for Northeast Ohio..... Oh my go get the bread and eggs!! Lol. Winter's in the Midwest and Northeast are pussycats compared to years ago! Too much hype! Feel sorry for weather forecasters as they really don't have anything to do anymore for winter time as there is NO MORE BAD WINTER'S! LOL JUST GREY SKY'S MID 30'S TO 45 DEGREES MOSTLY RAIN AND IF YOUR LUCKY A COUPLE INCHES OF SNOW.

Pow - what do you think of the CMC's east trend with the storm next week? The Euro and the GFS keep the center of the low over Michigan, which keeps the entire interior northeast in intense rain for most of the storm.... I am wondering if the storm has the chance to push farther east?
