Master tech here. the pcv system has whats called a clean and dirty side.(CCV/PCV Sides respectively) The upr you have already is plumbed to the dirty side. This is where the majority of oil gets put ito the intake and goes down onto the back of the valves. This can ultimately cause hard starts missfires and in extreme circumstances engine failure (very uncommon). The ford performance one you are installing is being hooked onto the "clean side". This is whwre the intake sends air/pressure into the intake of the turbos. Its less likley to cause problems however its always a good idea to be safer than sorry. This side catch can is basically to prevent oul from collecting inside the tubes to your turbo and the turbo intake compressor wheel. Most kits now days are a dual can system that protects both sides of the pcv system. Idk if the upr dual catch can kit was out when this was recorded but now ford performance, upr, mishimoto and others have a dual kit for both sides. They prevent your intake and intake valves from being coated with oil as well as they can increase the octane of your fuel as removing the oil being sent into the combustion chamber results in a much more efficient combustion cycle. Always trying to achieve stochoimetric(roughly 14.7:1). Hope this helps! Love the videos! Been watching a bunch of them as im waiting on my 2024 badlands Sasquatch to be built!

I'm gonna put two in anyways if I get a Ranger. The Colorado has two air oil superstore in the latter 2nd gen & the 3rd current gen. I just don't see why not. Like your Bronco 👍

The sound deadening was in the way with my rough country hood struts, they are installed differently than fords. But they tuck under nicely, was just an added pain to install.

So the one I just bought for my Ranger is overkill it sounds like. I have the 2.3l Turbo. Apparently for sells the Can for the WOT turbo side but not the dirty side. Great.

When you go to plug and play I’d love to hear their thoughts on the Bronco Liz package with the B&O sub. I have a 23 with all that and it’s unclear what I need to install that kicker 8” sub and Kicker key amp you installed.

Ford is not a catch can. It's an oil/vapor separator. there's no maintenance required. Vapor to intake, oil drains drains back to engine. Info in manual under track use

I question why they would release these quite a while after the launch and why they didn’t just add them as a stock item. I have the 2.7 so I’ll be waiting for info from someone with a 2.7 with catch cans to see if they are worth the cost.
