The Two-Notes OPUS is a very neat box of tricks that is equally at home on your desktop as it can be on your pedalboard. It ships with a heap of IR's, amp sims, reverbs, pre and power amp sims, tube sims... Lots of cool stuff, not to mention the very capable Torpedo Remote editor that runs on all major platforms wirelessly or via USB. It can handle instrument, line and amp (via load box) inputs and features XLR as well as ¼" Line outputs along with Aux, Headphone, USB-C, Bluetooth and MIDI connectivity. One thing I forgot to mention in the video is the SD card storage facility (located on rear). There's little the OPUS cannot do or accomodate. And the sounds? If you dig what you've heard from Two Notes in the past you will not be disappointed. Of course, the OPUS can host third party IR's as well as your real-world amp so there's plenty of room to spread your rock 'n roll wings here. The OPUS is tidy, powerful and full of great tricks.

Hi Ross, love the unit, love the sounds, love how it works, but... damn it's noisy! Noticed this in several other demo's too. The noise gate does a good job, but is there any way you guys can reduce the hiss? Apologies for the negative comment.

Can you switch presets using an external pedal or midi and if you can, is the switch gapless or is there a noticeable gap?

@@tomostinato2918 and @Dawgley Thanks for getting in touch. With our higher gain pre's there is some noise, however this is due to the fact that they are modelled off real amplifiers and as such replicate that kind of gain stage. Providing you don't max the gain though, noise levels are entirely manageable and we have completely re-worked the input stage to accomodate for this!

@@elbeeuk The preset switching is fast and this has been thoroughly tested at our HQ - this is a live performance tool and as such we wanted this to be rock-slid in this respect!

Looks like a great solution for someone who needs a few great amp models that can cover a huge amount of ground. I’m listening to this on a phone speaker, and it sounds fantastic. I’d like to know how it feels to play through.

Strange, when you test the opus the standard preamps sound better than in all other youtube channels who demonstrate it. (Maybe it's my personal taste.)

So i run sound and i have 2 opus alot of people playing dont have a great band mix tone, it may sound good to the individual but sucks in a mix, the opus makes it easier to get a good solid tone once u can get past the players ego

Two notes here! It is the next evolution of the C.A.B. Series. Although both the C.A.B. M+ and OPUS share a similar chassis, on the inside it is a very different story. In order to accomodate the higher gain preamps included in OPUS, an extensive overhaul of the existing C.A.B. M+ architecture was required. As such, we cant offer an update for the C.A.B. M+. Please bear in mind, we are committed to supporting our legacy products and will continue to release all necessary updates to ensure longevity of C.A.B. M+ - not to mention on-going DynIR releases so you have a cascade of fresh tones to play with! Let us know if you have any other questions concerning OPUS and we will gladly weigh in!

same deal - it looks like they are claiming its normal. I can turn off all the "options" inside the remote software and turn the gain way down and still have audible hiss.

@ somethingrc Annoying since I love it so far with the exception of the noise floor. I’m on the fence about returning it. I’d be satisfied if they just addressed it properly “hey we’re working on it look out for a future update to address the noise issue!” But I’m not thrilled with the current response of “that’s how it is”.

Two notes here. Our thought process with OPUS was to keep the unit as compact as possible. In addition, there is a whole heap of functions users would want to control within the unit and accommodating these with dedicated switches would have made the unit considerably bigger. That's why we added comprehensive MIDI connectivity to control the plethora of options that are available in the device.

Guessing is a game of the insolent. Brett uses many tools; as do I. I have used Axe-fx for some years in my playing across the world. It's a tool; to fake the sounds many of you love. It works well. It is not a refined instrument. Brett, a fake guitarist; that's ignorant. Thank you for the giggles. @@donewithmodernlife
