Yeah everyone is saying you should have done Live in Japan as it is one of the most perfect performances ever in the history of mankind, and you do get to see the drummer more too, but this one is good too (this one was held during the pandemic still but they had many more rules in place. Double masks, where you wore your own and BABYMETAL gave you a special one with their logo on it. I think they only allowed half the venue amount in and there was to be no shouting and cheering, just clapping and such. So any crowd noise was actually filtered in from a recording). There is another fun one where all 3 Avengers plus both Eastern and Western Kami Bands with Su and Moa of course, all on stage together. Hard to really go wrong when it comes to BABYMETAL. Most fans also don't need CC. We just feel the music. I'm going to the Las Vegas show and the first Los Angeles show. Front row seats (not pit) and early VIP access and the tickets were about $140 each. Both shows are sold out. The 2nd night in Los Angeles is still available I think. I wouldn't bet on getting BABYMETAL tickets for cheaper. 🤘🦊🤘

The Kami Band always delivering, that's Hideki Aoyama on drums and he's been doing this since a long time with this group, as well Takayoshi Ohmura and ISAO on guitars and BOH on bass, wait to hear Anthony Barone on drums with the Western Kami Band, he's a freaking machine gun. Funny you mentioned about Through The Fire And Flames since DragonForce guitarists Herman Lee and Sam Totman did the collaboration on the album studio, they got a cool story together and gave big push to this group and helping get more exposure at Download Festival in 2015. Also you need to experience this with the crowd participation and when YuiMetal was still there so please do yourself a favor and take a look at Road Of Resistance live in Japan official (2015), i know you care little about that but as a fans of these girls we can't help to recommend those magical and epic moments when she was still on the group, we love MomoMetal the new official member you saw here as an avenger thou. This is with the East Kami band.. Drums: Hideki Aoyama Bass: BOH Guitar: Isao Fujita (Candy Apple Red 8 string guitar) Guitar: Takayoshi Ohmura (with Mikio Fujioka's guitar. BM guitarist who died Jan 2018 from injuries from a fall a week before) In 2019, they added masks to the band. So they could change up the band (even though you can still tell with their instruments) and to keep attention on the girls. Since April, they have been touring with the West Kami band (American players) , their style is slightly different. Drummer Anthony Barone bangs on his drummer harder and is not as smooth as Hideki. Guitarist can play but are stiff, and the bassist uses a pick. Their overseas shows are not as elaborate.

However, many of the official videos use footage from live performances with the studio audio and the live audio from those performances is actually better, so finding those live is better. These are all worth seeing (one or two may be blocked unless you take precautions like adding a watermark), but watch live versions as well to see why we keep recommending live performances. About 'Road of Resistance' - it is a very positive song, it isn't the usual "resist the machine or the system etc" that we might expect from the title. It is about forging your own road even where a road doesn't already exist, not necessarily going the easy way or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find your own way. It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy route to follow. Herman Li and Sam Totman from DragonForce did the guitar arrangements for this song (it is the only one they were involved in) and recorded the guitars for the album version. They have said they made this more technical and faster than most of their own songs thinking they would never have to play it live ... and that they had to practice hard when they did perform it with BABYMETAL at an awards show in London later in 2015. This was the Kami Band playing live of course and each one of them is a world class musician. In the 10 Budokan concerts of 2021 I believe the Kami Band were ISAO and Takayoshi Ohmura on guitars with BOH on his 6 string bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums.

Great reaction! A few notes about this performance... In 2021, Babymetal was celebrating their 10 year anniversary with a best of album "10 Babymetal Years". Since they could not tour due to covid, they held 10 shows over a 4-5 month period at the Tokyo Budokan arena. Due to restrictions, the arena was only half-capacity for social distancing, fans had to be double-masked and could not shout or cheer. They could only stomp, clap or pump their fists. So obviously no mosh'sh pits. All the crowd noise was pre-recorded from earlier shows and fed through the PA. At this time, Momoko was still an Avenger (dancer with no microphone) and not an official member yet. She certainly deserved the promotion! Still go back and watch the official Road of Resistance Live in Japan video to see the full force of crowd interaction with this song....or maybe the Live at Legend Metal Galaxy to see Su, Moa and all 3 Avengers all at once (Momoko was the only one left by the time the Budokan shows happened).

Another great reaction! BABYMETAL do have some studio recordings, but they are usually best when LIVE. But if want to hear a great studio recording, one come out this month and features Tom Morello. It is called METALI and combines two words. METAL and MATSURI (festival). However it is obvious that they created this song to drive people nuts at live venues. If you have a chance to see them this autumn in the US, you should definitely check them out. I am sure they will perform both Road of Resistance as well as this new METALI.

I love the Budokan 2021 show, but for this song I prefer (as many others 😉) the official video from the Babymetal channel. From the 2021 show I like "BxMxC", the solos of Moa "GJ!" and "Onedari Daisakusen" and the intro of the show. But that you should hear is the new song "Metali" wit Tom Morello. Its amazing.

Thanks for this reaction. Yes, it was actually Dragonforce guitarists who worked on this, Herman Li said in an interview: "faster than some of our songs !" They actually performed it with Babymetal ones, they never expected to need to actually play it, the Kami band would. Babymetal Kami band isn't completely static, sometimes they have other projects they need to attend too. But they've all been amazing musicians. We don't have much video focused on drummer Hideki Aoyama. But the one who has done the most recently is Anthony Barone.
