Hi guys,
In this video, we will unbox, assemble and run the first calibrations and prints of the new Sapphire Pro 3D printer from Two Trees.
All the prints shown in the video were made with PLA filament.
In the end, we will also include a comparison between the Sapphire S and the Sapphire Pro.

Two Trees are not doing themselves any favors by sending out printers like these that need so many fixes and are definitely not friendly to new users. I really think that if they did a better job and delivered a complete product that they would get a lot more business. Little quality issues like these just turn people off and make them look elsewhere. As a somewhat knowledgeable printer person, there isn't anything that can't easily be overcome and the basics are good. I wouldn't mind picking one up but I already have printers that have a similar print volume so the extras you get with this printer aren't enough to convince me to buy it. 300x300x300 really is where it needs to be to pique my interest. Thank you for the review and I loved seeing your kitty playing with the wire wrap.

Good job on the build and review. Thank you for showing the differences between the Model S and the Pro. To bad they still have so many thing not quite right, the price is very good right now, but the problems at this price still keeps me from grabbing one. Thank you for sharing with us.

My Sapphire Pro is close to being delivered after waiting since Dec 2nd . It finally has clear Cdn customs .I'm really excited & have watched this video at least five times. Its the Marlin 2.0 part that i would like to know about . I ordered an enclosed version of the printer . This video is excellent by the way please post more about the Sapphire Pro. Well done .

Just a small correction, the blue piezzo sensor is not for the Z axis, it's used to auto-level the bed. You heat up the bed, put it on the cold nozzle and run the auto-level sequence. It will probe all the necessary points using the nozzle tip, once finished you remove it and tuck it away.

Hi Rui, You are correct and i also explained in the video how the sensor needs to be placed with the nozzle cold and needs to be removed once the leveling is completed. I also mentioned that you cannot use the sensor before flashing the firmware first because if you execute the auto-level sequence with the stock firmware it will not work. The number of leveling points can be defined in the firmware.

A great video. Thank you for the excellent work you do. You even manage to have background music that is nice and low so it doesn’t interfere with the dialog. With some tweaking of screw sizes and countersinking this seems like a very good printer. I think I would also change the part cooling duct as it looks too far from the nozzle and maybe an E3D V6 hotend

27:11 can you go over the stepper driver voltage tuning? I think that's arguably the most important missing step as it seems a lot of sapphires are totally mistuned out of the box, resulting in totally unresponsive steppers

Very helpful video. I just am finishing up putting together mine. They have made some changes. The drivers are adjusted to 1.1 volts out of the box now. There are a few minor changes in the carriage mount and belt attachment.

@@Impecable.. i wrote the seller on AliExpress and they told me the pro has: glass bed, all TMC2225 drivers, "skylight" on the base by the Z stepper motors, and timing belt for the z stepper motors.

Not enabling the firmware for the sensors is just plain laziness by Two Trees, not calibrating the drivers is negligence. Newbies would have a terrible first experience with this printer, I have watched 4 different videos on this printer and each one has had serious problems

And connecting one axis in reverse, using the wrong screws, not calibrating the temperature control and using a lagging firmware version makes me wonder why they put money into the nice design when they are obviously not planning to sell any of these.

hello Sandra. Thanks for the manual, but your video explains much better. Unfortunately it is my first 3d printer, and I am having a lot of difficulty assembling. Now I have finished assembling the structure, I have yet to proceed with the connection of the cables, we hope not to damage :) In this video you don't talk about the filament sensor. Can you help me understand where it is mounted?

Hi, the software of this printer has the baby step function that allows you to adjust the height of the first layer during printing, I have seen many videos but none show this function. thanks

hello, thanks for this video. I had the same probleme like you with the printing of the demonstraton file. I have tryed to put 1.1V on each of the 4 drivers and it stil not wrk, do you have an idea? It act like if it translate what it have to do at every spires...

So, is this any better than mini prusas like Tevo Flash or Ender 3? Also, what are the top speeds and accelerations for this printer?

Hi Nathaniel, the corexy printer has it's advantages when compared with the cartesian ones. For our tests we used a higher speed than we normally use for the cartesians (100mm/s infill and 50mm/s outer layers).

Quando ela costuma fazer esse erro de parar deixar uma blob e continuar, normalmente é o SD card que nao vale nada e nao consegue ler a velocidade correcta, novo sd card deve resolver isso.

I don't like the "Spring board" Design. It needs a second "Z" axis in the front just like the one in the back.

Your chasing problems that are not there. Any droop is picked up by the alignment screws and the cantilever takes up some of backlash in the screw. While I understand you are trying to make things better, this will only make things worse.

Are the belts stiffer than the ones used on cartesian, how does it get around not having any tension adjustment?

The belts need to be tensioned while securing them with the zip ties. Many cartesian printers don't have tension adjustment either.

Hi, the sapphire pro has better hardware (board, TMC2208 drivers, titan extruder and it's a coreXY) but the ender 5 is easier to dial in and has the same easy-to-use extruder as the ender 3. Soon we will have a video about the Ender 5 and after that probably a comparison between both.

Guys I have problem and can't solve it ! I'm using Win7 and while I connect my Sapphire Pro to USB port, my Win7 can't find drivers for this printer online automatic. I must instal printer drivers manually, but I can't find it anywhere. Someone can help me ?

The Ender 5 is very good printer but not a CoreXY as many people think. The Sapphire has much better electronics but some of the issues like the lagging firmware, for example, need to be resolved asap.

The lagging is an issue with the firmware. To fix that we need to have a new firmware version.

@@ruiraptor doesn't matter I figured it out but it still prints junk and only clogs up the nozzle because its stuck to it i tried lowering speed and raising temp it worked but it just doesn't hold in place

I recieved my Saphire Pro ll yesterday, i really couldn't of put it together without this video without your video . I have a question for you, the usb & micro sd card they sent are both empty. How can i test print when they didn't send anything. I don't think i will be able to use files from my Anet A6 for this printer ,also the screen programs on this Saphire Pro ll look very different. I am not seeing a way to manually level the bed . Could you please help me .

Do not install belts the way is showed on the video it is wrong. @10:33 start not from left hole like in video but from right hole stead and rest like in video. And for other belt same start from left.

Starting the belt from the left or from the right is the same thing. The belt circuit will end up being the same no matter where you start from.

@@ruiraptor I prob. didn't explain my self well. you have to do this way imgur.com/NudQTf9. Otherwise your cable tie will hit idler when you try to home x and you won't be able to use whole bed area. I 1st did like in your video and ended up buying new belt.

I watched another youtuber reviewing the same model and he had the same problems. We must be away from this printer (or make), the problems aren't acceptable.
