I like how no one stands around when there is work to do. If someone sees a job that needs doing they do it. You've got a well trained crew Tom, great video, thumbs up.

@@ChangeHumanity Perhaps a little bit, but I think Tom's crew truly want to do a good job. They know what needs to get done and if they all work together as a team, they get paid well. Additionally Tom is an excellent leader: firm yet fair. Nothing breaks moral more than a boss who is not fair, in his treatment of his subordinates. Of course I might be all wrong and Tom is a screaming lunatic...but I don't think so.

i really like seeing the long, laminated hand floats. Before I started doing my own concrete work, a finisher poured a sloped driveway like that and left a puddle up by the garage.

Tom you should steal a page from the commercial concrete trade and use re-entry steel in those driveway entrances that keep cracking . cut a 2 foot piece and span that joint with one foot either side . 2 or 3 should do the trick . Reinforcing steel will never prevent a crack , but boy does it hold it together nice and tight after the fact .

Could you possibly leafblow the surface in those times when you’re waiting for the excess moisture to evaporate on top ? Or is that risky for the concrete

@BobBob-lz3li

Its actually a powder you cast onto surface before stamping then the stamps pound that second color right into the texture, we use it as a powder but they are mixing it with clear liquid release

I see no one picked up on what was rule #1 in the portland cement associations handbook Rule 1 states NEVER , NEVER EVER EVER EVER NEVER Trowel exterior concrete . no matter how "pretty " it makes the stamped look . you really should never do it . you want that surface to be able to resist freeze thaw and troweling does not permit any of that . Also it makes them slick as @#$% when water gets on it . Try a partially turned float , looks just as good without all the ill side effects .
