I was vigi on my first game and my favourite role is vigi and mafioso (vigi is funny,mafioso can mess with people with death notes and claim vigi so easy)

I agree fully. I had a game as jailor that went badly because none of my exes were good because the townies were lying to me. Someone would tell me something like sheriff and then I proved they were lying so i exe. Then I have a salty bodyguard screaming at me in the post game that I killed him.

i'd exe them but i normally tell them role by 10 or you die instead of saying "if you don't give me role in 1 second you die" it hasn't failed me yet and i've been using it for a while

This is the exact reason all death notes should be completely out of the normal for you, the way you speak the words the tone you come across with it should not match you in chat at all. Some people are just stupid and don't realise the connection when they do something in a death note and then do it in chat...

ikr I also used scum reading as VH Some guy said something in chat, and said the exact same thing in vamp chat. I then staked him and he was vamp.

Either they didn't know a VH can read their vamp chat or they are just plan stupid. It is either ignorance or idiotic people, can't confirm which but if you want to play a game atleast try to learn the roles and their abilities asap. Some people are that stupid though. Oh well I guess free wins when people are that stupid... then again stupidity is a concept that largely surrounds the players in this game, why I don't play it. Can't handle people being stupid, I remember one of my first games as exe I claimed my target was either GF Medium or Survivor... town instantly hanged him, i then learned the gf comes up as a gf, arso or BG when investigated. Was a free win but people are so stupid.

I knew a player who always kept the same name and had a ‘calling card’ deathnote. Since one of the players was in a game with him, he was immediately caught for the calling card

Because we had time. There is no reason to be overly aggressive with carry roles. I just put it in my will that they were suspects. The problem with carry roles like Vigi and Jailor is that if you kill a townie you can take a win and make it an easy loss.

Palenstesia Games Scum reading is constantly going "could be potion master" whenever someone claims, and saying "I'm susp of [Insert Name Here]" whenever someone says something, or if they're too quiet. ;)

what? no, scum reading is doing your best to read between the lines. Its not taking what people say at face value. In this game the Medusa claimed lookout, which shouldn't have tipped him off, but it was how they claimed lookout. They were very slow to claim and very slow to present the will. They pretended that they didn't notice they were jailed until they had to time to quickly think of a lie. All of these are signs of an under-prepared evil role. Nothing in the Medusa's claim could be proved to be a lie, but because of how it was said, it was still obvious as a lie.

John Smith this is why when you're evil you make a will as your believable town role the entire time. Editting it where necessary.
