7:00 Fun fact the song is actually a Eurobeat because the song isn't even brazilian, it was made by some German DJ group based of samba music but if you ask most Brazilians they don't claim or like the song, the song is called "Samba de Janeiro" but a better song that is actually Brazilian would be "Magalenha"

Hello guys, First of all, huge fan of the show. I'm Brazilian and it was hard guess even for my other Brazilian folks that that "Samba do Brasil" was actually from Brazil, turns out, that song is played by a German band called Bellini, which pay tribute to our rhythm with some Euro vibes electronic. So the confusion is legitimate.

Also Lion King was a little misleading - yes, it's an African language (probably sung by them too), but the composer for the Lion King who compiled all that music is Hans Zimmer (a German now living in the US) writing for an American made movie which quite a lot of the world is familiar with. I honestly didn't know whether the answer was going to be an African country or the US just because of the reputation that movie has.

I remember dancing to the Tunak Tunak Tun in the summer camp in my school as a morning workout we did everyday, and I still love it. I'm a very serious person and don't do this kind of things usually, even when I was a child much younger, when kids play pretend and answer to what is asked of them on the TV, but I danced my best to Tunak. I'm from Russia btw lol

As a Brazilian, I wouldn't have guessed that in a million years. It didn't sound like a stereotypical samba, at least that excerpt. I thought it was some Eurovision song too.

Agreed, it only becomes really obvious at the end with the drums in this version. I think the melody actually comes from Hugo Fattoruso from Uruguay, but I find it has a similar vibe to popular Brazilian stuff such as Jorge Ben's Taj Mahal. Listen to Airto Moreira's version from the 70's though - Tombo in 7/4, it's called - where the melody is sang by a chorus with percussion in full samba polyrythmic onslaught. It really sounds quintessentially Brazilian there. That Bellini dance hit kind of ruined this one because everybody has heard it and got sick of it so they cannot appreciate other renditions of this melody any more.
