Yep looks like a golf swing. 8/10

Where did he get the idea for his "flared' stance? Is it just a comfort zone that he came up with on his own?

Oh wow, I kinda see it now in Mac's swing. Was Mac a coach to Grant? @@garrymajor7528

Well, I'm confused. He is releasing his wrist angle right after impact in ths video. I thought he controls his club face by holding the wrist angle.

Obviously a very nice swing...pretty orthodox pattern without extremes...not extremely leftward leaning, not much left shoulder 'down', not overly 'sustained'...I'm looking forward to seeing how the center of pressure looked...squiggly or linear?

Looks very much like Mac Ogrady see him coaching seve, or like what Pete Cowen coaches.

Um. If he can wear shorts, why can't he also wear a fitted shirt?

Easier to see the connection sans shirt

The swing has S&T patterns, but since Grant places a majority of pressure on his back foot at the top of the swing (not shown here but on pressure plates on other vids, it is obvious), it is not what Bennett and Plummer preach in their videos.
@ZickDorito3 жыл бұрын
S&T teaches the mass moving more left as you get to the top. They actually want you to shift pressure right while going back. Mass stays centered while pressure goes right, mass moves left as you get to the top. 👍🏼

@@ZickDorito I’ve never heard that in S&T, where are you getting that from?

Did you know that pressure and weight move in opposite directions when there is dynamic motion. Andy and Mike would love this swing lol.

@@joeypuvel1228”stacking” refers to the center points. Sternum and Pelvis. The “stack” refers to those 2 being roughly on top of each other at the top of the backswing.

Stack & Tilt is just a hack to miss the bit of the correct weight transfer from the trail foot to the front foot - it keeps the weight on the front foot all the way through the swing. Can look superficially similair because of the way the trail hip moves towards the target in the final stages of the backswing, but the difference is where the weight is. Hence people say Hogan is stack and tilt, but he put loads of weight into his right foot creating tension which he shifts to the lead side, hence needing an extra spike in his right shoe to help keep it planted in that aggressive move of his
