The state’s near-total ban on abortions required Miller to travel nearly 800 miles to Colorado to receive the medical care she needed. There is the Lincoln Project that is a group of Republican lawyers who put their own money against maga and outing project 2025. They don't have the money to move states. Sadly, I moved to FL 2 years ago. My parents are older, having health issues,and need help. It isn't ideal. Heck, I lost my Healthcare moving to this backwards state. Sometimes we have to do things we don't want to do in order to support our family

It's difficult to uproot one's life. Its extremely expensive. Women struggle to leave their extended families, support systems and jobs behind. Those decisions are not easy to make under the best of circumstances...

very brave woman ~ happy she shared her story that could have ended so horribly but instead she had a healthy baby boy and she is doing great too ~ she had to go out of her state though to get the help she needed which if you think about it is ridiculous ~ this is 2024 but women are being treated worse than they were a hundred years ago! for the love of our country and for women everywhere PLEASE GET OUT AND VOTE BLUE!!! 💙💙💙

As a nurse, I contacted my local state representative more than 10 times detailing the many medical conditions that make an abortion necessary to save a woman’s life during a complicated pregnancy. I was met with a complete disregard for anything I had to say. It seems that feelings are more important than facts to our representatives here in Texas. I really want to be represented by logical thinking humans. 😢

Wow...what an incredible story. Thx Laurence for highlighting this courageous woman's difficult ordeal. A tough decision for the family BUT for the greater good which was saving her son and her own life. Texas should be ashamed for the way they are treating women as second class citizens. Of course if Cruz's family was in the situation he'd have an entirely different opinion. Please Texas, vote him u deserve better!

Cruz's family wouldn't be in this situation. They have plenty of money to hop a plane for their own Healthcare. I'm just thankful the young lady in the video had access to the resources to get herself to a place she could have proper Healthcare. Many are not so lucky and many will die.

I've noticed that most of the people voting against abortion are men. At first seemed they had a real reason to do this, but as it ground on, I realized this wasn't about saving lives and babies, it is all about power, and forcing misery on others. People have forgotten why abortion was legalized in the first place - it was to save lives. My philosophy is - if you don't believe in abortion, then don't have one. I don't believe in abortion but I refuse to force others to my will.

There is not a human being on the planet that didn’t get here without coming thru the body of a woman. We are the mothers of all living. I lost 2 great grandmothers at the age of 28 in the early 1900 ‘s after struggling to deliver children. Medical care and what we now know would have saved them. Yet we legislate as if we are ignorant and their loss of life didn’t matter. We have earned the right to choose our own healthcare free of the ignorance of legislators. And yes it is personal.

*We need a class action law suit against Congress and the SCOTUS for **_practicing medicine without a license._* Seriously. When I have a medical issue, I go to a qualified MEDICAL DOCTOR. In the same manner, when my medical doctor has a legal question, she may ask ME because that is my field. I don't do her job and she doesn't do mine. The republiKlans in congress need to get that memo and a class action law suit would help them learn.

Any limitations are effectively a ban. If complications arise it’s usually after 15 weeks. We have already seen that petitioning for permission doesn’t work.
