Tye Tribbett UPSET some when he appeared on a talk show to discuss his Grammy wins, his depression, and his finding God outside of church. During the conversation, he told the talk show hosts that he believed that the institution of church was WACK! Pastor Mike Jr responds.

I actually enjoyed the interview! I think people should listen to the whole interview and not just a few secs of this clip, because he stated what he meant.

Allow me to say what he really meant, 'the world is wack' bc too much of the world in the church. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life is not of the Father (God) tye trib but is of the WORLD, furthermore to counter God is the not church argument, Jesus said to peter upon this rock I will build my Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail, so much for wackness!

I think now that Tye Tribbet is now where he is today, he now feels as he can say whatever he feel like saying about the church. Someone who were brought up in the church & wouldn’t be where he is today if it wasn’t for the church. Yes he’s right the church isn’t a building that people flock to. We the children of God is the church, one’s that allow God to dwell. So Tye be careful on the words that you let proceed out of your mouth because as a man or woman of God we are to gather souls for Christ not scatter them. Mike jr, said Tye , that because of you that he gave his life to Christ. So again I say be careful on the things that you let come out of your mouth because God going to hold you responsible for the one’s that heard what you said & refuse to be apart of a church. He hit a nerve with the black church. He talked about the systems and institutionalized systems of religiosity that make it about the church and the institutions. When the institution protocol is more important than God's calling there is a problem. When one denomination see it as the ways they do things make them better people than other denominations there is a problem. When each week you do the same repetitious things that is NOT of God. Be clear there should and needs to be in person worship.

Alot of churches are more about being famous, about money and popularity...not all but quite alot. He stated a personal opinion. Just like I just did. I've been a member and have visited alot of churches and God was not the main topic of the services. Now that's my opinion...🤷‍♂️

I am with you, but he should have said, some churches, instead of grouping churches as one institution. We didn't always have access to online services. Get in where you fit in, but support your local church.

Tye, I love your music, but growing up in the 70's we did not have access to computers and social media. But speaking on our current state where social media is already giving our youth reasons to not go to church, you should have thought about who the breakfast clubs audience is. They are looking for excuses not to attend church, so those who follow you is probably telling they parents " I don't have to go to church, because Tye Tribbit say so" . Just like when they wear sagging jeans and jewelry , because some rapper or somebody they look up to told them to. You have performed at my church before in Dallas, back when Kirk Franklin was having the back to school Rally. You watched as Kirk brought hundreds of teens to Christ. You can't do that on line Bro. Love you Brother !

If the church was doing so well, why haven’t they taken dominion over this planet to stop the wickedness going on?? We haven’t because, we are too busy playing church and God is sick of it. The Lord is passing judgement on the wickedness on this earth and guess where his first stop is, the church! He wants to know, why haven’t we taken our authority!

@@johnstewart4986 Sorry to disappoint you Johnstewart, but what I said came straight from the Lord’s mouth, He is still speaking today, believe it or not, but you don’t have to, because you will surely see God in action soon! As a matter of fact, He has already started to come after the church.

This is the downside in communicating by posts. It takes out true conversation. It's not that I disagree with all that you said. You have to remember, the church building itself is filled with a variety of people with different levels in their walk with the Lord. There are true believers and then there are the wicked. But, let's remember that anyone who believes in their heart that Chist died, was buried, and was raised on the 3rd day shall be saved. We were ALL born into sin. Yes all. Sadly, there are many who take pleasure in the notion that God will come come on the church first. God is a loving God and he always gives us a way out of our sins. 2 Chron 7:14 Our job is to pray for each other. In or out of church. ❤🙏🏾

Not if it goes against God and the Bible.. like it or not, we need Church and biblical Pastors because the Bible say not to forsake the assembly of the church.. and we need to obey a Pastor that teaches the word of God and doesn't water it down or teaches out of context

Your comment would make one assume that the sole purpose of the church is for Pastors to make a living, when in fact the purpose of the church is to cultivate God’s disciples and equip them for the mission, to go and make more disciples. What we focus on is pastors or individuals, when in fact we should focus on Christ! I’m guilty of this myself, but we have to do better.

The church as an institution is probably stated wrong or maybe not wrong, but the church is just a building where people congregate to praise and worship God together. Yes funds are needed to maintain the building itself but back in the day everyone contributed their time, their talents and shared with one another a love that was genuine. Yes the people in the building called the church did help bring others to Christ because they the people themselves were genuine and they might have had money/riches but they had peace which is something that many don’t talk about but most of the time seems like a money making racket disguised. Yes money is needed for the basic upkeep of the building but again it should not be used for someone to just use as their sole resource of living and living larger than their congregation that is paying their tithes and offerings. I understand what he is saying but how he expressed it hit some in a bad way because of the wording but the truth be told many are said to be called but few are chosen to speak what the Lord message is and to teach his flock. When you see on the news all these terrible things that the so called pastors are doing that makes it seem like it is whack. Yes we are all human and make mistakes. We have all fallen from the Glory of Hod and we do on a daily basis snd we ask for forgiveness, but, when we continue to do those same things and they become so big because the person themselves feel like they have gotten away with those things and it comes out it makes it seem like the church and system is whack. Some people make it difficult for the younger generations now to really believe in the church which like I said is the people not the building. But God is in control and at the end of it all we have to account for ourselves on the day of judgment. Can we just pray got discernment and God’s Grace, help and Mercy before we start judging and try to understand one another. I have had a terrible experience within the church I was a member of and it can make you feel a certain kind of way especially when you are innocent and never knew what was going on, but when God vindicates you, Glory Hallelujah you learn to discern with his help and understand things and people in a different way than you did before. So again I say let’s all pray for the spirit of discernment according to what this young man stated and why. God bless.

I really think he should have worded this differently . 3 months ago transformation church gave him 1.2 million to open his new building. Meaning he wanted the same platform he speaking about. It’s not the church it’s the people in the church . The word of god is what matters . There is no perfect church . And a pastor is a person just like we are . THE WORD OF GOD IS WHATS IMPORTANT.

When toddler been addressed the systems of the church he had every right to. Everything he said was correct and I understand what the systems of the church mean. Explained himself very well. Tye tribbetts word was spot-on. In my neighborhood there's a church on every corner and none of them are my filled with people . None of those churches are evangelizing our community they're just sitting there every Sunday being religious...

Those clips were taken out of context just like the media always does. He is online CURRENTLY due to moving to a new building. The system of church is whack. If you listen to the messages from LiVe Church Orlando, you would see and hear what he is talking about. STOP WITH THE FALSE HEADLINES
