Physical & mental fatigue, weight gain, hair loss & joint ache/pain are my main symptoms… the fatigue feels like burnout but it’s not… From your video sounds like I have adrenal fatigue ☹️

Maybe take a B complex vitamin. Make sure you don't have low vitamin D3 that can make you really tired. I take 10,000 iu D3 . No sunshine here

Vitamin c is also crucial for adrenal gland support. Start slowly as it can have a laxative effect. L-ascorbic acid is gentler on the stomach.

Menopause fatigue is such a huge issue, I'm finding, and thank you for all the helpful suggestions. My 2 cents as a single woman who works a lot, with a demanding full time job and a small farm, I now have mental lists of my more and less physically or mentally demanding tasks, and I save the easier stuff for when I feel the most wiped out. I can also second the value of taking rest breaks, both physical and mental/emotional. This is a new thing for me, consciously resting, pacing myself, and it helps tremendously.

Thank you, Eileen, as always good advice! When I was going through the perimenopause. I got really ill and exhausted. I collapsed one day. Probably due to post viral illness. It was horrible and a real wake up call.! So I was lucky enough to be able to stop working. And all the things you talk about really do help. But it can be a lonely existence trying to muster up enough courage to go out far sometimes. I have always looked for help and guidance. One of the things I do is deep breathing into the pain in my body & hold then release . Like a mini massage. Yes all the vits and learn to say no sometimes. Xx

Thank you so much for explaining all the fatigue. I have gone through every single one of them. It is debilitating. I noticed SAD is worse during peri too. I have also noticed SAD changes during menopause. Mine was in the Summer. When I started peri my SAD changed to Winter. My fatigue and blues are now worse in Winter.

Thank you for the great advice. One problem I always have with these health advice videos is the standard "exercise is good for you" mantra. I don't know if my body works differently from vast majority of people, but NO, it doesn't make me feel good. It makes me miserable, and once I'm done I feel like "Thank GOD that's over". I feel no benefits from it. It doesn't do anything for my mood, or weight, or any other aspect, physical or mental. I dread it. Or should I say dreaded, because I'm done with it. My body is clearly saying NO.

Yes, very important to listen to your body Maria! Hormonal changes can often cause fatigue and exercise is not recommended at that point. However, you may find other ways to keep active, even a 15 min daily walk or a short 10 min yoga stretch can be very beneficial. Best Wishes Eileen

I started with 2 mins a day when that was no longer an effort I added a min. At present I am on 10 mins. I do not follow anyone else's exercise routine. I feel in to my body and see what it wants to do. The movement I do I have not seen anyone else do. I adjust this to how my body is feeling. If it's nothing today then it's nothing today. If it's half the time then that's it. I find the amount of movement time fluctuates for me. I hope your find your centre.

you are not alone. I keep having this discussion over and over with my husband and he simply can't understand. I read that if you have Major Depressive Disorder, which I do, it is very likely that exercise will not benefit you the way people insist. good luck. This totally fucking sucks.

This does sound quite extreme, have you seen your doctor about the fatigue? This can be caused by other health issues which appear in the menopause such as anaemia, vitamin D or B12 deficiency or even thyroid malfunction. Your doctor can test for these just to rule them out. Best Wishes Eileen
