@@TyrellKnifeworks I appreciate the sentiment behind your choices , KZfaq is on a roll recommending me small creators of high quality 👌🏼 -- Also @ 23:57 Have you ever considered using those phlebotomist elastic tourniquets you can buy in bulk for when you have unique shapes to compress while resin sets? 24:29 Hmmm... maybe spinning grippy logs on a lathe is a bad idea... putting that one on the drawing board .. 25:25 Nice indeed.

Magnificent. I prefer a single piece for daily battle knife. And you will know how much beating Damascus will tolerate. My shotgun came apart a little. But it looks brilliant as you produced it. I would love to be the fortunate new owner getting one. Particularly the full size Ka bar.

I've been making Ka-Bars for a while and have tried various ways of gluing up and removing handles for grinding. I'm stealing your idea! Thank you for sharing! Damascus is only somewhat functional. It lacks strength by a lot and couldn't be used as you would a normal k bar.
@TyrellKnifeworks
@TyrellKnifeworks 2 жыл бұрын
@@sirsir9665 I’m not sure why you think that. The Damascus is as strong as it’s base metal. If you are referring to the copper layers, that’s just a think sheet over a 1095 high carbon steel core. The knife is very functional for sure.

@@TyrellKnifeworks Great about your son! I was a US Navy Diver for 31 years. We used to buy the Camillus version thru the Navy stock system by the case. They rusted pretty bad if you did not maintain it being made from carbon steeI. We sharpened them on any concrete curb we could find . That way, they would have a rough edge to cut line easier. I also remember they cost the taxpayer $2.50 each! But then again cigarettes on the ship while underway were only $2.50 a carton (25 cents a pack). My how times have changed. You do great work. I have often thought of buying a small forge and doin something. I hope your son gets back safely. Do you sell knives too? Cheers!
