I'm not a Philly fan but props to Maxey as like the only guy on the Sixers when asked about missed calls and his answer is about what they didn't do to win the game regardless. Also, that 2 minute report states that they missed a call for Embiid fouling Donte before that whole sequence, which if called could have changed the whole game as well. Sometimes that's just how things go. The trick is trying to play well enough that the game isn't close enough to have one or two calls change the whole outcome. And if the Sixers just boxed out they could have gotten a rebound off of that a first Donte miss, and even after that they still got two looks to try and go up by one or tie it.

That's my guy Maxey. You've definitely earned it. You have improved significantly every season. I am proud of you. Let's go Sixers!!!

Weird for me to say Maxey “Most Improved” because in my mind he’s been elite for the two years before this too. Sure he made big stats jumps with Harden gone…but Maxey BEEN real good. So idk what this award is supposed to be about. Colby White went from nothing to a huge impact, I thought that’s what this award was about, but guess I’m wrong. The voting was v close. Colby White deserves some recognition from the nba community & fans - as of course does Maxey ! They both had great years, even if in very different ways.
