6 жыл бұрынThe 1979 Rothmans International Series was an Australian motor racing series open to Australian Formula 5000, World Formula 1 and Australian Formula Pacific cars. It was the fourth and final Rothmans International Series.
Here is the 2nd round of the 1979 series held at Adelaide International Raceway.

F5000’s were beasts. Open wheel, big V8’s @8000 rpm’s. Great job to all involved. They were the days.

Best racing ever f1 today is so boring and has been so for a long time these guys are heroes they took their lives in hand every time they went out I miss all of it Frank Matich Gary Cooper Graham McRae all made there cars Chris Amon as well glad to have seen all to many to mention I don’t want to miss any names 5:48

Not bad for South Australia. Although Alfie won, Johnny Walker finished 2nd and the Adelaide based Elfin of Victoria's Larry Perkins finished 3rd.

Any one know details about the te cortinas at the front of the grid , I imagine they are rothmans promo cars

Larry is from Cowangie, about 50k east of the SA border.
