Honestly, they went there enough times, took enough samples, did enough tests to understand there really isn't any point in going there for science. Now, private industry is interested in going there for one reason and one reason only...money. If they can get a successful tourist operation started, they will make far more than any other entertainment industry.

Most likely a few factors. Mars is a planet not a moon so different conditions could make the actual landing process "easier." Also this test is an actual future manned landing so they want to test a landing for a box with humans in it. The mars rovers and drones more just have to get there in one piece so the landing quality is overall less important.

These talking heads can't let us listen to the chatter between the techs, they get uncomfortable if there's more than 3 seconds of quiet. Don't let the public think, just keep blathering on so we don't get "bored", how many folks are on their phones while watching this? Not me- I'm playing Minesweeper on my computer while "watching" this video.

It's called a shadow. I think you've heard and even seen them before since they're quite common. But it was also a computer graphic simulation as it said at the bottom of the screen.

There's actually some people here who think this actually happened. The name Odysseus should actually give you a hint if you knew about Greek mythology.
@1-75Ranger
@1-75Ranger 6 ай бұрын
Wow, so now we're celebrating something that the U.S. achieved almost 58 years ago when Surveyor 1 successfully landed on the moon way back in June of 1966. All this Odysseus mission has proved is how little our country has progressed in the last half century. We successfully landed five spacecraft on the moon between June 2, 1966 and January 10, 1968. That is a statistic we simply won't be matching anytime soon or ever.
