to me, yes this is an update to an older song and maybe not as powerful. However this song still brings a tear to my eye when I hear it. this is the.reason I listen to U2 and love them

The original was recorded in 1981 on the album October. This version sounds like it has been recorded in the last 6 or 7 years? Personally, I think the original is more enchanting. (a song about the death of his mother when Bono was 14)
