In August, 2023, after a night of drinking, Jesse Sherrell was walking home on the side of the road in Hayden, Alabama. He was struck by a truck going around a bend in the road at over 50 miles an hour. He ended up sustaining a severe traumatic brain injury and underwent more than 20 surgeries - including trauma surgery, neurosurgery, and orthopaedic surgery. It’s only been 8 months since his accident and Jesse is still in the thick of recovery and needs a few more surgeries, including a cranioplasty to replace his forehead. But he has made remarkable progress so far. Hear Jesse’s story, told by his dad Adam and Jesse himself.
