Let them strike, the companies will move elsewhere and all will be out of work. There was a time when unions were needed but thats long ago now its just about money in the pockets. If this happens it will make autos more expensive, nobody will buy one and then everyone will be out of work. Also, If they cant live off of what they make, the need to reduce living expenses, not demand more because they pay to be in a club and blame the government (Biden) for the bad economy and out of control inflation. Think about what you are paying to be at that club. Add that money to the paycheck and I think you will see a raise. I know but so and so make so much...if you want that kind of money go start your own business and pay yourself what you want. Let us know how that works out. This is not rocket science...

"We will not strike all of our facilities at once. We will strike all three companies, a historic first, initially at a limited number of targeted locations that we will be announcing. Then, based on whats happening in bargaining, we're gonna announce more locals that are gonna be called to stand up and strike. These locals will join those that are already on strike so that our strike at each company will continue to grow over time." Wtf is this???? Why not just strike all of them??? Make this make sense!!!

Even though I don't work in a union, I fully support them. I honestly want this strike to happen. It sucks but a message needs to be sent; union or not, the people had enough of breaking their bodies downs for scraps while they wealthy enshrine themselves in more wealth. Four people will have their bluff called tonight and ironically, all of them have President as a title. I'm going to a nearby factory to see this go down. Also, I just saw the Teamsters locals here are backing the UAW. GO UAW! GO UNIONS!!!

Great to see growing employee unity and being straight to the point💯Listening to these companies beat around the bush in trying to address this, and their controlled media in mainstream, is absolutely nauseating, on top of all their whining. So glad to see the UAW President Shawn Fain standing strong so far, I hope he continues to. Frankly, these corporations have been declaring economic warfare against us, and showing arrogance in doing such. American citizens are with all of the UAW members, if it were not for unions many benefits non union workers would have never come to pass but it's once again for all citizens to stand up and fight corporate greed. @kkranker if everyone quits their low paying job to find a good paying trades job the market would be flooded and pay would drop to near minimum wages. Life forces people to work jobs that suck. We can fight for better pay. We however can't flood the markets of good paying jobs without destroying the pay of those jobs. That's just economics. More people applying for a trades job. Less pay and benefits offered. Less people applying for a trade job. Benefits and pay go up year after year. That's why flooded career job postings list "competitive pay" competing with others to see how little we can pay before everyone moves to a different job.

I am a tier one employee at stellantis and am thankful for what i have had for the last 30 years as a UAW member.. However, I have given up concessions, pretty much every contract since my hire in date of 10/11/93...there are delusional tier 2 workers who attack us because they make less and we make more..Well guess what, my net pay is nearly half of what it was in the 90's and up until about 2007 when Chrysler filed bankruptcy..E.g. A 3000 overtime gross pay check would have paid out no less than 2000 with taxes taken out amongst everything else net pay...Now, you're lucky to bring home 1500 net...that 3000 gross would be 100 hours in that factory by the way...inflation and taxes are burying tiers 1 and 2 right now...

Glad to see the UAW top brass has finally found a set. They’ve been asleep at the wheel for way too long. Or self serving themselves. How do I know you might ask? For years I tried working with UAW to organize BMW here in SC. And I worked hard. It was like an unpaid second job. Get y’all’s deal done, good luck and then call me and let’s organize autoworkers here in the South.

GM didn't give a shit when all of their plants walked out, they sure as shit don't care about a single assembly plant that doesn't make a big seller. Did any warehouses who make the substandard pay walk out? Nope. Shawn needs to invent a whole new way of staying home.

Understanding what you guys are asking for.... Some people need to take a step back and ask themselves in the mirror if the plants close and move. Where would you get a job making even half of what you're making? now same thing happened at the Chrysler. AMC corporation in Kenosha. All those people are out of a job. The days of the big 3 dominating are long over. Look at the Tesla's pay. Look at the pay toyota and Honda . and if you get it, it's gonna last very long.. But I'm sure your Union bosses will enjoy all your money.......

I sincerely doubt they will get 40% and a 32 hour work week. I’m all for a wage increase but the 32 hour work week (3 day weekends) is over the top. Also pensions are gone unless you’re in the public sector and they’re gonna stay gone

You should want more hours and more pay, the 40 hour work week was designed to give people a goal and once they reach it they think that’s it I’m done for the week that’s all the money I need. It trains generations of people to stay middle class citizens. Pathetic. If I had a job that would pay me 50-60 dollars an hour I would work 80+ hours a week. With a giant smile on my face and pep in my step.

I'm not a union worker. The biggest problem we have with inflation is. We keep electing people that go to Washington DC and support policy that ruins our money. And it's on both sides of the isle. So no liberal Obama bashing here. George Bush was just as bad. So when leadership demands that support is in order for politicians that stand for the exponential growth of our government and its budget and debt. You all should push back and demand representation that it truly on the side of making ours a more perfect union.
