Joyelle is a NY Based standup comedian whose first special LOVE JOY premiered on Peacock and was nominated for a Critics Choice Award. She made her network TV debut on Late Night with Seth Meyers and more recently performed on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon twice in one year. Her debut comedy album Yell Joy! was released on Juneteenth 2021. She was the warm up comic for Hasan Minhaj’s talk show Patriot Act on Netflix and the permanent guest host for the Sirius XM radio show Godfrey Complex. She has performed on Wyatt Cenac’s Night Train for SeeSo, This Week at the Comedy Cellar and Comics to Watch for Comedy Central, LaffMob for TruTV, was a panelist on Refinery 29/Facebook Watch’s After After Party and can be seen in Apple’s Helpsters, HBO’s Crashing, Search Party, Showtime’s Flatbush Misdemeanors and the Netflix series Survival of the Thickest. She made her off-broadway debut this past summer at the 59e59 production of The Panic of ‘29. She was selected for the 2018 FOX Comedy showcase, was a finalist in NBC’s Stand Up For Diversity Showcase and has performed at festivals like SF Sketchfest, Bonnaroo, The New York Comedy Festival and Bumbershoot. Vulture and NY Magazine named her one of the “comedians you should and will know in 2020”.

Wifey and i go back and forth, but i definitely laughed at this. i feel like people have kids the same way they get a job, or commit to an house/condo/apartment/neighborhood/etc. Isn’t… isn’t that what we’re supposed to do? Read some books, travel to some places, figure out your shit and live the life you wanna. don’t do shit because others are doing it, do some shit because it’s what you believe is good for you.

I worked as a Medicaid for Pregnant Women intake rep. We really did keep a list of the most ridiculous names! One Woman had twins and named them L’mon Jelleo and Or’ange Jelleo. Another winner was Si’phylis and Ga’noreah. One of my clients named her first child To’yota ka’rola and the next was Toy’yota ka’rona. My personal favorite of all time was a family with the last name of Lear. They named their daughter Krista Shanda.

SO REAL FOR THIS. I grew up in the Philippines where everyone's under 5'6'' and less than 130lbs. I was chubby growing up and darker skinned and THEY WILL LET YOU KNOW that that's not okay. I moved to the US as an adult and for sure I'll visit home but I'm never moving back.
