As an tech professional in the industry for 30+ years - I am pretty confident in my knowledge as what is and isn't truly a product deriving from non-usa sources. As a strategic acct manager for the biggest tech customers in the world I can pretty confidently say that the products themselves or the raw materials are all coming from APAC and UAE regions. So, I am not ill informed. But, please go on... tell me how every CM in the world is NOT mfging whole products or deriving their products from APAC. There are not wholy usa-domestic nas products available on the market today. Are there usa production sites? Sure - but they get all of their raw materials from APAC and the middle east. QNAP and SYNOLOGY might 'design' their products here - but they are mfg in china, vietnam and taiwan. If you think that there is no back door in products -- better look again. There is a back door in every electronic device by design. Ask any decent hacker. Synology is a taiwanese company that has mfging in china and taiwan.... but please go on... QNAP -- same deal as synology. They have mfging in both countries.
